As you explore these eerie tunnels you also enjoy parts of the Catacombs usually closed to the public and facts and stories from an expert local guide.

What To Expect
The Paris Catacombs
Once inside, your knowledgeable guide ushers you through the extensive subterranean network, created when Parisian leaders undertook the greatest civil engineering project of their time to address the overcrowding in their city's cemeteries. Tour the Catacombs' main tunnels to discover a city of dead beneath the City of Lights and then explore two special access tunnels.

5.00Our guide Andrei was a treat. He was happy to share all he knew, including tips for dinner after the tour. The wild history of the catacombs, the collapses, the bones, and how it’s all being maintained kept us entertained for the full two hours. Getting to go to areas not allowed to normal self-tour groups let us see chapels and wells and artwork that we would have otherwise missed. I’m glad we prioritized going on this trip.

3.00The tour guide Amber was knowledgeable and shared great context and answered all the questions we had, however our booking was supposed to only include 6 people but ours was overbooked with 14 people which made it harder to get around the confined spaces with such a large group.

1.00MEETING POINT ADDRESS on confirmation email is not accurate. It is the WRONG ADDRESS. Attempted to contact phone number listed as contact on confirmation email, no answer. Other clients for same tour waiting with us at same WRONG ADDRESS. Traveled to actual address of catacombs, unable to use tickets paid for because Viator issues vouchers which ARE NOT tickets . Very disappointing experience for my grandchildren.

1.00Awful experience — or should I say “no” experience — because we were never even permitted inside. The tour guide never showed up and did not respond when we reached out. Communication regarding the ticketing process was horrible, and it became very clear that the actual Catacombs office and the Viator/tour operators do not communicate with each other at all. Extremely disappointing and a huge letdown during our Paris trip.
