Once at the meeting point, you will start your tour by exploring ile de la cite, the oldest settlement in Paris. Once known as Lutetia, this former Roman city was the predecessor of present-day Paris, from which the city grew outwards.

4.00Our tour guide, Angeline was fantastic. She shared so much history of Paris and kept it interesting. Our three teenagers enjoyed themselves, but got a little bit tired of standing by the end. We did not actually get to enter Notre Dame because the line was insanely long and Angeline give us the option of skipping so that we could see other places. The only reason I gave this tour four stars was because we did not go inside the church. We were there on a busy August day. Angeline was incredible.

5.00If you have a real interest in the city of Paris, do not visit Paris without taking this tour. Paris City Center with Notre Dame was the highlight of our trip to Paris. Our tour guide from Babylon Tours was par excellence!! His storytelling made it evident, the importance of the historical background and linkages to present-day Paris. He was outstanding in the history of the Notre Dame Cathedral and other areas, which was combined with interesting and delightful stories about the history of Paris. At some points, he got into character, making the stories even more interesting in real time, and the depth of his knowledge astounding. It was not a tour, but a passion revealed!! If there is one thing you must do while in Paris, this is well worth the experience!!
