Book this experience! If you’re curious about Montmartre (and you should be, it’s a completely unique neighborhood in Paris full of history, art, and the joyous living of Parisian life, not to mention phenomenal food, shopping and views), you cannot find a better tour guide than Loki. He knows so much about the area, is friendly and funny, and has EXCELLENT taste in pastries and chocolate. Incorporating both history and sweets is a great way to please everyone. My 17 year old daughter and I were his only clients on a rainy Tuesday and so our group tour turned into a private one. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. If we had more time (and energy!) we’d have booked more of his tours, no question. If you’re looking at this tour, or any time with Loki, I promise you’ll be thrilled.

This was a super well balanced tour! Just enough information not to be overwhelmed, and you can always ask and discuss any additional facts and questions, but the desserts along the way are phenomenal too - Loïk has brilliant taste! If you're looking for some fun chill activity while in Paris - book this tour. You'll hear interesting stories not only about Montmartre but Paris in general, and you'll also meet some of the people behind the delicious sweets. If you're going on the tour during lower temperatures of the year, I recommend grabbing a cup of your favorite warm beverage to not only keep away the cold for at least a little while but to also balance out the sweetness of the desserts.

Loik was a great tour guide He made the tour so interesting and fun. The weather was chilly but we kept walking and were able To go inside for warmth. The pastries were delicious and everyone was very friendly. Loik was very knowledgeable in the history of the Montmartre artists area also. Had a great time.

First, I would give Loik and his tour TEN stars if I could. My husband wanted a food tour, but I don't appreciate French cuisine enough to make a tour like that worth it; however, we both love sweet treats AND I can't get enough of the history of Paris and France. This was the perfect blend of sweet treats and historical information that was easy to digest. Second, the best part is you walk around the adorable neighborhood of Montmartre, which at one point was home to many of the greats including Monet, Renoir, Degas, Picasso and Van Gogh. Yes, there are souvenir shops along some of the streets but that's no different from places like Times Square in NYC. What was so great about this tour is Loik walks you along the cobblestone streets as he explains some of the history of Paris, gives you interesting pieces of information like why Aux Merveilleux has a gorgeous chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and how the monarchy and Napoleon and artists helped develop the area, Paris, and France. After he explains a certain historical event and/or figure, he takes you to a local shop for a sweet treat. Among the stops was a chocolatier that was founded in 1760, which is older than America. The walking tour lasts about two hours (perfect amount of time and it flies by because it's so fun). It ends at the basilica (go inside, it's free and beautiful) that gives great views of Paris. Loik is very charismatic, extremely knowledgable, and clearly loves Paris and French history. Take this tour - you will NOT be disappointed. Also, we loved that the day we decided to go explore Montmartre, it was close to lunch time so we missed the earlier tour times. We were able to book this tour for the afternoon (3:00 PM). Lastly, Loik gave us a recommendation for dinner because my husband wanted to eat at a French restaurant that was not touristy, but more of the place that locals would dine at in Montmartre. My husband said it was the best meal he had eaten during our entire trip through Europe. Book this tour. It will be a highlight of your time in Paris.
