Live a genuine and engaging experience dedicated to the tradition of fresh Sicilian pasta.
Starting with simple, authentic ingredients — local flours and eggs — you’ll learn how to make three different shapes of handmade pasta, just as the family tradition dictates.
During the experience you will discover:
the basic techniques of the dough,
how to roll out and work the dough
the secrets of forming made with your own hands
and also how to prepare delicious matching sauces.
Your Guide will follow you step by step and all participants will be involved in the preparations.
The activity lasts about 2.5 hours and is designed to make you live an authentic, relaxed and full of flavors moment.
The experience can be partly customized according to the needs of the group.

With your teacher Teresa of Syracuse, you will live an authentic experience, made of simple gestures, genuine flavors and family recipes. During the local fresh pasta class you will use local and seasonal flours, eggs and ingredients. Sauces will be meat, fish or vegetarian. Teresa can adapt recipes to your dietary needs. The flours we will use contain gluten. The skills you will bring with you after cooking class at Teresa's house, will not only be recipes, but a small piece of Sicily to share with your family and friends. As a gift you will have a list of local sauces for pasta or bruschetta to take to your home. This lesson is not only practical but also informative about local products. After class relax and enjoy the flavors, scents and nature that surrounds you. If you have not booked a structure for your holidays Teresa can give you useful directions . Children attending class must be at least eight years old.

A delightful experience. Theresa and her house were charming. Making the pastas, sauces, and other dishes was fun. Not a lot of cooking experience required. All delicious. Recipes to take home and easy to make.

Our cooking class with Teresa was one of the highlights of our recent Mediterranean cruise!! The food was authentic, delicious and the instructions easy to follow. Teresa even sent us home with the recipes. I highly recommend even if you are only in town for a few hours!

Amazing amazing amazing experience! I went with my friends for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. She arranged for a taxi service to come pick us up and drop us off we made an appetizer, fresh pasta, pizza and dessert. She provided wine bottles and extra bruschetta! Would definitely come back. Very pleasant

Teresa, was truly the best. We made cavatelli with ragu, pizza, and peach fig tiramisu. She catered the menu to meet our groups allergies. She is very clean and fun. At the same time she is very knowledgeable about cooking. Her English is fabulous. The cooking lesson is really organized and her backyard is such a beautiful set up. She provides amazing wine and coffee. So much food you will probably have leftovers too. It’s a really fun group activity. Only 15-20 mins from Ortigia and she organizes the transportation. Teresa sources her ingredients from the local market. Only the best ingredients. The cherries and peaches were so fresh.

The most amazing experience!!!! Teresa is so kind and welcoming. She explained everything we were making and going to eat with such careful and thoughtful detail. She is so sweet and wonderful! Not to mention we made the most delicious two pastas, pizza, and a peach cake and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The ingredients were so fresh and this was SO fun. We got wine and coffee as well!!! If you’re considering booking this while in Sicily- must do!!!!!!!

A special experience in Teresa's kitchen and garden. My wife and I made a delicious tuna ravioli with tuna tartare beforehand and a strawberry desert after. Everything with fresh products we got at the Siracusa market and with fresh herbs from Teresa’s herb garden. If you are ever in Siracusa this cooking workshop is highly recommended.
