Balik Pulau
Join me to the Balik Pulau countryside tour in Penang! I will bring you to experience 2 hours of being a local in Penang, and let me share with you the story of Balik Pulau! We will be going to the one of the most beautiful paddy field trails, and to the colorful sights and smells of the local villages, Malay and Fishing village. This tour will pick you up from your stay in the morning 7:00am or 7:30am, get the morning breeze to boost your mood for the day. Local light snack will be served. Bicycle tour start from 8am to 10am+-. The highlight of the tour : Paddy field trail — where we will stop by a 40 feet container art.

5.00Great morning / easy cycling along tracks and quiet roads - only noise was bird song. Learnt a lot about countryside and farming in Penang. A real contrast to Georgetown.
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Bikes very basic. Return car trip included transportation of pigeons - awful!

5.00Our tour was excellent, taking us to places we would never have seen. While the bikes were simple without gears or suspension it was flat countryside and the pace was easy. A visit to a small farm was interesting to compare to UK farming and we stopped for a refreshing lemon drink and banana cake overlooking paddy fields about to be harvested. The fishing village and mangroves nearby showed the importance of small fishing ports to the rural economy. Not only was the bike ride interesting but the taxi ride too and from made more sense of the urban sprawl that covers the east of the island. Definitely worth the effort.

5.00Really enjoyed a few hours in the countryside with Jack. The cycles weren’t super delux but worked fine and Jack’s enthusiasm and passion for his area were infectious. Booking was easy and transparent, with great communication. A really well organised tour at a very reasonable price.

5.00The tour was really good, the guide Sam was really knowledgeable and passionate about the countryside and showed us around, we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel in George Town, we cycled around the countryside for a couple of hours, had some fresh fruit and a tea and cake, it was a really beautiful cycle

5.00We had an amazing time exploring rural Penang with Sam our tour guide. The cycle was flat and very easy, 9K total with lots of stops visiting farms, plantations etc. We got to sample fruits straight off the trees as well as banana bread and lemon drinks. It rained the whole time but we still loved it. Sam was great. Would definitely recommend.

5.00We did this tour this morning and we are very excited! We were picked up at our hotel in George Town and taken to the other side of the island. There we got the bikes designated, these were a bit small but we are big Dutch. The guide was very enthusiastic and could tell a lot about what you encounter. There is cycling at a leisurely pace so you can look around. About halfway you also get a nice drink with a cake. It is also a nice change from the big city. As far as we are concerned, highly recommended!
