Dominica is the only country in the world where the sperm whale resides all year long. Just a short boat ride brings you into contact with the world's largest toothed animal in the calm turquoise Caribbean Sea.
Whale watching operators follow strict codes of conduct, minimizing any disturbance, and never “luring” the whales. On the rare occasion when the whales may be elusive, you’re sure to see the acrobatics of hundreds of Spotted and Spinner Dolphins. Also Humpbacks Whales,Pilot Whales and other whales have been seen during our Cruises.

Departures: Daily at 9.30am and 1.30pm We also speak German and are back at your Cruiseship on time.
Our Boat
With our 24ft open keel boat, 2x 60Hp 4 stroke silent engines, we can come close to the whales without disturbing them. Our boat is designed for small groups and families with a max of 8 guests.

What To Expect
Join us on our brand new Boat from PH Whale Watch Dominica and watch the Sperm whales and Dolphins. A local Guide will give you all information. It gives you also a great view of the island when going north with our boat. This is a Government Approved Tour (safe in Nature), so you are also able to do this tour when you come in by Cruise Ship. We only pick up from the cruise ships in Roseau. All other guests we meet at the meeting Pont, the ferry Terminal in Roseau. We do not pickup from hotels or any other locations! Its only whale Watching. Its not allowed to swim with the whales.

3.00Unlike all our prior experiences with Viator, this time communication was poor. Our cruise ship had to change to the commercial port instead of the main port. I notified using the app and requested confirmation to no avail and tried calling also with no success. At 9am was told pick up was to be at 9:30 as they were picking up some folks at the other port. However, the tour had a max of 8 and all 8 boarded at 9:30 from our cruise ship. The boat captain & mate were pleasant.

4.00Great tour. The small boat was nice. When we found the sperm whales, we were able to get pretty close without disturbing them. I wish they would have let us hear the whale sounds. They told us they could, but did not. Warning for those with weaker stomachs, it can get pretty choppy, but the crew did a good job trying to minimize this. The rum punch was very good.

5.00Contacting Britney in advance was already very friendly. Very tried and friendly guides (one of them was Britney). It took some time to see whales - but it was beautiful. The boat tour is also a lot of fun, but is not recommended for people with back problems.
