Koper, an important European port and the largest city of the Slovene Coast.
Piran
Piran is one of the oldest and most beautiful Slovene towns with rich history and culture. Almost 500 years lasting Venetian influence has given this town an inimitable charm. Its culture heritage is not at home only in museums since the architectural and artistic pearls, which decorate the everyday life of the local people, can be found at every corner. Giuseppe Tartini, the world famous composer and violinist, who was born and raised in Piran, had a great impact on the town. Today, his bronze statue adorns the town’s main square together with Tartini’s house where visitors can admire one of his violins. The Tartini Square is surrounded by majestic buildings, such as the richly decorated Municipal Palace, Tartini Theatre, Maritime Museum, Aquarium, Marine Biological Station, Baroque House and Apollonio Palace. On the hill above the town is the biggest and most important church, the Church of Saint George, which offers a wonderful view. Piran’s town wall, narrow streets, fishermen’s nets, compact houses that rise up the slope and beautiful sea will give you the feeling of walking through a painting. On this panoramic trip along the Slovene coast you will also visit the coastal towns of Portorož, Izola and Koper, where a tourist guide will tell you about the main attractions, historical facts and local tradition. On this trip you will also have the chance to admire a typical Istrian village and refresh yourself with local food and wine. During the trip you will be able to enjoy a splendid view of the sea, with the Alps in the background, and you will have plenty of time to take some wonderful photos.

Communication prior to the tour was excellent and accurate. The coach was comfortable, and the guide was engaging and very knowledgeable. The views were beautiful as were the towns we visited. We had a nice mix of walking tours and free time. Great tour!

Loved visiting Piran. Was a fun day and Vesna gave a ton of good info. She even took us to old town afterwards on her own and shared more history

A wonderful tour to Piran! A pristine city with cobblestone streets and alleys, interesting plazas, buildings and churches and a great wine tasting experience. A relaxed, informative time exploring this hidden gem of Slovenia.

We were picked up at the dock, which was great. There were only two couples because the third couple was a no show. The ride to Piran and back was very pleasant with a very friendly and talkative guide. She gave us a nice introduction to Piran and toured us around the town, which was very cute and historical. She dropped us off at a local restaurant and we had "lunch" accompanied by three different local wines. It was really a snack, but enjoyable. We then had free time for about an hour and half. Overall a very nice day.

Awesome, very informative driver… Nice, slow paced but interesting points all around the city. We were able to see all points with reasonable time.

Dejan provided a most informative and friendly tour of his home country from Trieste to Piran with stops in Koper. Very knowlegeable of history, culture, industry and current events without bogging down in personal opinion. I very much look forward to securing his services for future tours!
