Upon arrival at Plitvice Lakes National Park, embark on an 8.5 km (5 miles) walking tour through the Upper and Lower Lakes, with scenic boat and train rides.

Please note that from November 1st through March 31st, only Lower Lakes can be visited, and depending on weather conditions, the train and electric boats do not operate.

Approx. 8.5km (5.3mil) walk is the length of the walking tour in the park (highseason). You will see all the highlights, and don’t worry there are no big inclines so it’s an enjoyable walk.

What To Expect

7:45-8:15 AM: Your day begins as your guide picks you up at your chosen location in Zagreb's city center. As you settle into the comfortable van, your guide will provide an overview of the day's itinerary and share intriguing facts about the destinations you'll be visiting. 8:15-10:00 AM: The journey from Zagreb to Rastoke village takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through the picturesque Croatian countryside, where you'll pass charming villages and lush greenery. Along the way, your guide will share insights into Croatia’s rich history, which dates back over 2,000 years, enriching your understanding of this beautiful land.
Rastoke
10:00 - 10.40 Approximately 90 minutes into your journey, we will arrive at the picturesque village of Rastoke, often referred to as the "Little Plitvice." Tucked away amidst Croatia’s rolling hills and lush greenery, this hidden gem offers a peaceful retreat, with crystal-clear rivers flowing through quaint streets and cascading into beautiful waterfalls. Wander through the village’s charming cobblestone paths, capturing photos of the enchanting waterfalls and centuries-old watermills that once powered the village. The soothing sound of flowing water and the vibrant colors of the surrounding landscape create a scene straight out of a fairy tale. Take a moment to unwind and enjoy a coffee break at one of the cozy riverside cafés, where you can soak in the serene atmosphere before we continue our adventure to the main highlight of the day.

5.00I had a wonderful experience with Pegasus Travel. The staff was very professional and responsive. They confirmed the meeting time, address, and the license plate of the vehicle that was going to pick me up. I joined 7 other travelers to Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes National Park... ON Christmas day! The entire national park was covered with snow. It was so beautiful and memorable. The boat ride was one of my favorite parts. Bo was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Croatian history and the national park. I think 8 people is the perfect group size for this tour. I would highly recommend.

Impressed that the tour still ran with only 3 guests on the day and the bonus was having our guide, Bojan, all to ourselves! He was easy company, a remarkable source of knowledge on all things Croatia and the Lakes, and gave us all the time we needed at any point in the walk. I would do this exact tour all over again in a heartbeat.

5.00This was honestly one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! The place is absolutely breathtaking. The leaves were turning all these gorgeous autumn colors, and the lakes were just stunning. Everywhere you look, there are waterfalls that seem to go on forever. Bo was such a wonderful guide so kind, patient, and full of knowledge. You can really tell he loves what he does, and that made the whole experience even more special. I’d totally recommend this tour to anyone, but especially to solo female travelers like me. I felt safe, welcomed, and completely at ease the whole time. It’s a trip I’ll never forget. Thank you Bo and Pegasus

5.00Our guide Stephen was excellent, very experienced and knowledgeable on the tour. His experience helped us in navigating the park and he knew which the best routes were to avoid crowds. Everything was timed so we could get the fullest experience possible. He even suggested a great restaurant which the group met afterwards for dinner which was excellent. It was a great day and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

5.00Great full day out. Pick up arranged at certain places in Zagreb rather than just one meeting point. Only max 8 people . Vehicle an conditioned comfortable modern van. Steve, our tour guide very knowledgeable , polite and friendly. Price includes entry and everything except of course food n drink. Pack a lunch, water in u backoack and remember a small umbrella 🌂 😉 This is a must do tour , anazing to see. We walk in different way compared to most people so miss lots of crowds . Trip includes 2 boat rides to cross to next section . Very well planned day to see the best spots and Steve will show you where best photo stops are. On the way , tour includes a short stop at Rastoke. A beautiful small village with plenty water around also. Great day .

5.00We had a fantastic experience with this tour company from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and well-organised, with Sara providing excellent communication and support. On the day of the tour, our guide Bojan picked us up right on time. The group was small, only 6 people, which made the experience more personal and enjoyable. Bojan was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us plenty of interesting information along the way. At the park, he carefully chose a route that avoided the busiest areas, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Plitvice Lakes without long waits or crowds. The park itself is absolutely stunning, and thanks to the excellent organization and thoughtful guiding, we had a truly memorable day. I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Croatia!

From the moment I enquired , Sara was extremely helpful and arranged everything through WhatsApp. I booked the 8 seater tour which was fab! 5.00Had the most amazing time on my Plitvice Lakes day tour! The small group size made it feel personal and relaxed — no giant crowds or rushing around. Just a great vibe all day long. Matija was fantastic — super friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great stories and local recommendations that added so much to the experience. You could tell he genuinely cared about making the day special for everyone. If you’re considering booking this tour, do it. Beautiful views, chill pace, and a guides who really go above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend!
