It’s a great day to get some information about the past about what the people of Pompeii have gone thru due to the eruption of the volcano.

We took this trip as a group, three of us. A family with a baby also rode, and the baby was clearly experiencing some extreme distress- my daughter suffers from chronic headaches; that can often be debilitating- and when we reached out to the tour guide for options to get to Pompeii or even back to Rome (where the tour started) he informed us there were no options, that the baby could not sit in the front of the bus because of their insurance (which I could not understand, why could they not sit in the seats that were not directly up front, but still closer to the front, so the baby was less car sick?) and my daughter was welcome to leave the tour- and take a train back to Rome, on her own. After enduring another hour and a half ride to Pompeii, and speaking with the mother of the baby myself, I was assured that the baby was only car sick, as the mother had no issues with her during the tour of the ruins. My daughter could not endure the child's distress any more, got off the bus and attempted to take a train back to Rome. Our tour guide not only failed to point her in the correct direction of the train station, but if she has not run into the tour guide from INSIDE Pompeii I don't know if she would have made it to our air bnb safely. We have yet to be contacted with any kind of apology for their negligence, or any offer of a refund. My daughter did not get to finish the last leg of the trip, where we had dinner on the Champange coast, nor did they check in to make sure she arrived into Rome safely. This lack of care, and lack of responsibility for their paying guests is frankly shocking.

Long travel day- be prepared to walk, and bring a hat or umbrella for shade. Antonella was a fantastic guide- friendly and energetic. Lots of knowledge.

Flavia and our tour guide in Pompeii were excellent. Flavia was very knowledgeable about the areas that we saw on the way to Pompeii. The tour guide in Pompeii was excellent too. I would advise with this tour, is that, if you want to go to Positano, don't schedule for Sunday. We went on Sunday and went to Sorrento instead. I personally didn't mind, but others on the bus did. This would have been a 5 star if we had a minibus (as stated in the description). There was another tour and we chose this one, and paid a bit more, because we thought that we would be in a small group.

It’s a long day and I didn’t think it was worth it. The bus ride is most of the day! You don’t get enough time in the actual spots. There were two stops for ‘bathroom breaks’ and the place where the bus stopped was really sub-par’ I felt like I was in India or a poor Latin American country! With so many beautiful places to stop this place is clearly somewhere that the tour operator has a deal with the owner and it’s pathetic! The tour guide in Pompeii was great, friendly and knowledgeable, but you’re only there for tops 2 hours and then back on the bus and on to Positano. You have to switch to another bus before getting to Positano and this is understandable because the streets in Positano are very narrow! Would have loved to spend more time in Positano but again we had only 1 1/2 hours there and during this time you’re also supposed to have lunch! Obviously not enough time to see the town or shop! And then back on the bus for an+- 4 hour ride back to Rome. Sadly our main tour guide was not engaging and his commentary was boring and repetitive. Bottom line you spend 3 hours combined in the two places you visit and 9 hours on the bus! Do not recommend!
