We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side.
After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.

5.00My family recently took part in the aqueduct canoe experience, and although I was a bit nervous because I’m afraid of heights, it turned out to be an amazing experience. Our instructor, Emma, was confident, calm, and very clear with her instructions, which made everyone feel safe and comfortable on the waterways. A huge hats off to Emma and the whole team for making the trip so enjoyable and memorable — it was definitely worth the arm workout!

5.00We recently had our very first adventure with Bearded Men Adventures and it was an experience we will genuinely cherish forever. As someone who had never tried canoeing before, I’m so glad we decided to give it a go because the entire experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. A huge thank you to our instructor, Emma, who was outstanding throughout the whole trip. She took the time to clearly explain everything we needed to know before we started and demonstrated everything so patiently and practically, which was especially helpful as we had two children with us. Emma’s friendly and encouraging nature made the whole experience even more enjoyable for us all. Along the way, she shared helpful tips and interesting information about the aqueduct, which added such a special touch to the adventure. It was clear how passionate and knowledgeable she is, and it really made the day memorable for our family. We all had such an amazing time that we are already planning to book the rafting experience next time we visit. Thank you so much to Emma and the whole team for such wonderful memories — we can’t wait to come back!

4.00We participated in the Aquaeduct Canoe trip, out instuctor Amy was extermely knowledgable and provided easy to follow instuctions to make the most of the experience. She provided deatils of interest along the canal and kept us entertained throughout, even save dme from a drenching LOL.

The whole experience was well organised, fun, and suitable for all skill levels, with beautiful scenery along the route and a great balance of adventure and relaxation. A special thank you goes to our instructor, Emma, who truly made the trip exceptional. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and encouraging throughout the day. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made everyone feel safe and confident on the water, even those with little or no canoeing experience. Emma also brought such positive energy and enthusiasm that it made the whole trip even more enjoyable. You could tell she genuinely cared about everyone having a great experience, and she went above and beyond to make sure the group was comfortable and having fun. Thanks to Emma, this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended — we would absolutely do it again!

We were running a little late for our booking, and our instructor Emma kindly phoned us to check if we were still coming. When I explained we were just running behind, without hesitation she said she would wait for us, which was really appreciated. Emma was so friendly and easy to chat to, and her instructing throughout the tour was incredible. She made the whole experience enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable from start to finish. Overall, a fantastic experience and one I would highly recommend!

5.00Had a brilliant time. Joe was a super guide giving good instruction and very knowledgeable of the history and surrounding area. I was surprised at the number of boats and kayaks on the canal which caused a few delays but we had a sunny day so not a problem
