Great tour with Christopher. A mix of food, history and culture as you can’t understand one without the others. Prepare for lots of food over the 3 hours so don’t eat much breakfast!! Christopher also gave us some good recommendations for other places to eat during the rest of our stay here. Ideal to do in the first couple of days of your stay to make the most of what you learn.

We had a very knowlegable guide. He explained the history of Mauritius, its people and food incredibly well. Food choices were pleasently disperate. Pace felt a little bit rushed.

A great experience with a great guide ( Rudy). Walk through the streets, discover the island’s specialities while learning about the island’s history. Thanks to Rudy for your patience and for taking the time to answer my questions and teach me how to recognize a good vanilla.

Rudy was an awesome guide! Super fun, knowledgeable, and interesting. He told us not only about street food but also culture, art, history, etc. The tour with Rudy was a highlight of the trip to Mauritius — definitely recommend!

This was a great way to see downtown Port Louis, visiting Caudan Waterfront, Chinatown, the Central Market and more. Christopher works culture and history into the food in a fantastic way. This is a great way to begin your visit here.

This is a great tour for an adventurous traveler who likes to eat like the locals. It is not for people with physical disabilities as there are busy, uneven surfaces in this bustling city and you keep a fast pace. We felt very safe and the various foods were delicious. We definitely got our money's worth as we toured a museum and got a good history of the island and culture. We had a vegetarian and a person who didn't eat pork and they were accommodated without fuss.

It was an interesting mix of foods and sights and a museum on our tour today. The food was good but relatively small portions and only one sit down restaurant. I would not recommend this tour for anyone with mobility issues as the streets are quite rough with fairly deep gutters, stairs and broken pavement.
