On this day we take you to the biggest and worldwide known Slovenian cave system - the Postojna caves. Amazing two million years old and 21 km long system of underground caves is one of the most easily accessible networks of underground caves in the world. First, you will experience the ride by electric train, after that, a guided walk will follow through a series of cave halls with drop stones, pillars, and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions. The underworld system is home to the mysterious, unique, and rare amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or "baby dragon" as it is popularly called here.
Back in the daylight, the trip will continue towards the astonishing castle of the robber knight Erasmus. For centuries dramatically hanging in over a 100-meter-high vertical cliff, it's waiting for you to enter and discover its secrets, legends, and myths.
Driving through the green scenery, we return to Ljubljana.

There is a constant temperature of 10°C (50°F) in the caves, dress properly, and wear comfortable shoes (flipflops are not recommended).
The minimum number of participants must apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative date/tour or full refund.
In case you fail to provide us with a desired meeting point up until 24h before departure, your meeting point will be the City hotel (Dalmatinova 15, 1000 Ljubljana)

5.00Booking was simple as we popped into the shop and the lady couldn’t have been nicer. We were emailed a reminder with directions to pick up which was a minutes walk from us. The mini bus was full the gentleman driving and acting as our guide was great. Lived locally to Postonja and was really informative and interesting. He looked after the group really well. The caves and castle are well worth a visit. The great thing about this tour is that it was 8am till 2pm so we got back in good time to visit other places in Ljubljana. Highly recommend this company would use again.

5.00Very fun half day tour to two of the biggest highlights of Slovenia! Good operator and easy drive to both venues. A little more time at each venue would be nice, as there isn't much free time after the cave tour. But overall, a good way to visit these highlights from Ljubljana.

5.00Fantastic trip, Vladimir, out driver and guide was right on time in collecting us from our hotel. Lots of entertaining information on route to the caves, which were spectacular and well worth a visit. Then on to Predjama Castle, which was beautiful and we really enjoyed. Picked up at 8, returned back by 2.30. Highly recommend this trip!

1.00A tourist attraction whose only purpose seems to be exploiting visitors. Parking must be paid separately (€6.00), and the audio guide is not included in the entrance fee, which already costs €32.90. Make sure you arrive on time, because they will be more than happy to charge you again. In the end, it is truly a shame to feel that money is their only priority.

5.00This is a must trip for every visitor to Slovenia. I am so lucky that it is the second visit I have had (first in 2012) and it is still exciting and a great wonder. I loved the Christmas tree in the great hall! Our guide was great and provided a history of the area, caves and castle.

The valley was beautiful, the Tibor is one of the best tour guides out there - he is funny, engaging, knowledgeable, and shared so much of Lju's history with us. Kranjska gora valley was a bit less interesting, can consider switching this part out for something else
