What To Expect
Postojna Cave
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30am and you will arrive at the caves by 9:30am. The ticket counter opens at 9:30am and at 10am you will enter the caves with a local English speaking guide. This tour will include train ride inside the cave as well as walk of an 1hour. Your private driver will meet you at the same place after your tour and drive back to your Ljubljana Hotel.

5.00The trip was marvellous. We had an excellent guide in Tarun from the excellent Adventure Holiday Tours. Tarun is very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time with him over two days ( he also took us to Lake Bled) He gave me details on how to book tickets for the caves in advance. We got in for first tour of day. He walked us up to the entrance to cave and got us in quickly. The caves are wonderful and breathtaking. We got onto a mini train which took us on a 15 minute ride to the centre of the cave. We then had a guide take us on a 60 minute guided tour in the heart of the cave system. The formations were amazing the best I have ever seen. At the end of the tour you enter a unique underground Post Office in the heart of the caves,where you can get a postcard which is sent from the cave with a unique postmark. Books and gifts. A 15 minute train ride returns you to the surface where you can purchase photo taken when you enter the cave. Dress for cooler temperatures, it can feel cold. Also good stout shoes are a good idea. Tarun meets you at the exit and there was a chance to stop off at a beautiful Alm style cafe on your return. Tarun is brilliant try to get him, you will not regret this and he is sure to make your trip memorable.

5.00definitely a large karst cave (visit by train for a large stretch ) walking path of about 1 hour between stalactites and stalagmites of various sizes and shapes, comfortable audio guide in various languages.

5.00All very well, we went to see the caves of Postonia, we were told everything, we talked about it, and there they are waiting for the exit. Very nice ride, nice. They looked for us and left us.

1.00This is a tourist trap! Be careful as the description is written as a day trip but in actual fact it is just a transfer to the caves! Tickets are not included in the price. When realizing this and checked online prices were only 85 eur per way. We were charged 340 eur therefore more than double the price for a taxi! HUGE RIP OFF! Beware!

5.00We had 2 free days and having a stop in Slovenia to see Postojna cave and Bled lake was great. Our guide showed us a hidden lake in middle of mountains which made us as we have seen insight of Slovenia. Thanks a lot for making our trip special. Hvala :))

4.00The driver was on time and pleasant with chatter during the drive to the Cave. Read carefully-this is ONLY TRANSPORTATION to the Cave. Unfortunately I booked this driver after my tour to the Cave AND Castle was canceled, so I did not realize this & bought a ticket for both. The driver offered to take me for an additional 10 euros each way.
