Did you know that Czechs pour their favourite Pilsner Urquell beer in three different styles? They are called Hladinka, Šnyt and Mlíko, and even though they are made of exactly the same beer, they taste completely different. The secret is in the foam!
Embark on a 60-minute journey and change the way you see beer - forever. During the exclusive Tapster Academy, a beer-pouring class held in one of our stunning private bars, our professional tapsters will teach you the secrets of how to pour a perfect beer.
You will understand the importance of ingredients, beer storage, pouring methods, cleanliness, and much more. During the class, you will learn to pour all three Pilsner Urquell pours, but most importantly, you will be able to distinguish a great beer from a bad one and recognize the most common mistakes when it comes to beer pouring.
At the end of the Tapster Academy, you will receive a certificate of completion, and also a nicely packed Pilsner Urquell bottle with your name! :)

What a fabulous tour, they made it really interesting and funny when going through the process of making the beer which you do on your own with audio and then you get a tasting with a guy with more facts. At the end you get 2 free beers! An excellent tour.

We did the Guinness beer pouring experience in Dublin in 2024 and saw this tour and thought we would give it a try. My husband and I were the only two people for the Thursday noon tapster class. Maïsa (I think that is how you spell her name - I don’t speak Czech) was a trainer. For someone who started doing this job in June of 2025, she was super knowledgeable and chill about the whole experience. She wasn’t intense - she was relaxed but yet serious about the craft of pouring. We learned of the different pours to Pilsner Urquell. Since it was just the two of us, we got to learn and pour all three pours again and again to perfect our craft. Of course, we got to drink our own fruits of labor. The location of the experience is super close to our hotel, W Prague. The course is an hour. It was fun and something different than the usual history tour. P.S. Šnyt was my favorite kind of pour - you will have to try this experience to find out what it means, what it looks like, and what it tastes like. lol

We started with the tour and finished with the tapster pouring course. What a fantastic experience. The story of the origin of Pilsner Urquell was very well told. We proceeded to the tapster academy to learn to pour the perfect beers. Masha was excellent and we had a great amount of fun learnin, pouring and drinking the perfect Ŝnyt, Mlíko and Hldinka!

My husband and I took the tour and participated in the tapestry academy. And both were fantastic experiences! The tour isn’t too long while still being informative and it’s interactive the whole way, the technology is impressive! The academy was worth the additional cost, learning to pour and how it makes Czech beer unique was so cool! Overall this was a perfect way to spend our afternoon in Prague. We would love to come back with a group of friends too! It’s a perfect place for that!

Its actually not cool branding this as original Pilsner Urquell Tour, which is not in Pilsen. The Landing Page is really misleading, that's why we missed the tour, because of going to Pilsen instead of Prague. I really do not get the point. I would also not book an Ottakringer Brewery tour and then have to go to Graz for it,,,,,
