  We as a family of four had a terrible experience with Hunters. Initially there was a problem with paying the deposit on the website. I should have gone elsewhere at that point. We were told to go the day before our equipment hire was due to start to get fitted up. We arrived and the miserable man in the rental unit refused to fit us up and told us to just come back the next day. Having returned the next day after several attempts the rude man fitted our equipment with no assistance or communication. On returning the equipment at the end each day staff would lie about on benches and not move as we put equipment away around them! Broken ski poles were not replaced. Lessons were poor, disorganised ( we missed time as we were not told where to meet, assuming as it was the same company we would be collected from the ski hire) and the instructor was rude calling members of our group 'the Jews'. I have written to the company and they haven't even bothered to respond.

  Hi... we went skiing for first time with my partner. Booked with hunters and for ski school to my delight we wer the only beginners so we got Neil Burton to ourselves.. he is amazing and we had a laugh with him.. he is super patient and got us onto a blue slope second day of beginners who couldnt even put skiis on haha...I would highly recommend him and I'm so coming back to get him to teach the family haha.   Just back from one of the best holiday experiences of my life! Started the week with only 6 hours of very beginner knowledge on a dry slope, to leaving 6 days later skiing down the black slopes. What a resort to learn, with wide greens and blues right at the top of the mountain to find your feet at your own pace. But I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the Hunters lot. I worked with Phil mostly as he took me under his wing and tailored his teaching to better my learning every day. His patience, encouragement, and light hearted but structured teachings helped me learn the quickest I’ve ever learned anything ever. I will forever be grateful for him teaching me my new passion and skill! He’s also just a fun and friendly guy who quickly became one of our group of 10 as we all loved him so much. Thank you so much Phil! Big thanks to Yuri and Neil too, two another amazing instructors full of knowledge, patience, and kindness. I honestly couldn’t recommend hunters more, from the depot to the slopes, to the restaurant and transport recommendations in and around town, they truly just adopt you and look after you as if family, in the beautiful resort of Borovets. I can’t wait to go back!

  Awful service. Equipment old and not serviced well. I don’t think my skis have been waxed or edged since the start of the season . Would not use them again. Shouted at by the staff when I tried to get back in as I’d left my helmet behind and told to go to the back of the queue. It was absolute chaos. None of the boots fitted me but they insisted they did in spite of not measuring my feet and there not being any choice. All in all just a horrible experience and I’m sure there are far better options in Borovets.

  Neil was an excellent instructor. He was clear and calm. Made you feel at ease. He was patient. Neil didn’t push you to do things you weren’t comfortable with.

  What can I say … other than another fantastic trip to Bulgaria and excellent ski hire service and ski school from Hunters. Special thanks go to Neil Burton for who’s ski lessons were fantastic for our 13yr old girl, made her feel really safe & confident on the slopes. Through his tuition, games and exercises she has had a blast and is now a fantastic skier. Massive thanks also go to Lexi who was our 12yr old girls instructor. She was so friendly and easy going and our daughter couldn’t wait to get to ski school every morning. Finally thanks to Yuri for the tuition and guidance for our 16yr old girl she has had such a fantastic week and her skiing confidence has grown massively. We would definitely book these instructors again because they made us feel like our girls were in safe hands. Thanks again all at Hunters

  I had a great experience with Neil B. He was a very patient and knowledgeable instructor, and I feel that my skiing greatly improved over the 5 days. Ski lessons and hire all very well done. Would recommend .

  We took the kids out of school 2 days early, so we could miss the half term rush. This was the best idea as sorted all the hire kit really easily and the slopes were not that busy until the Sunday. By then the kids had had a great 2 days of lessons and were able to master the button lifts which made everything easier when the crowds appeared. We made sure we arrived every morning about 0820 to collect our kit (leaving it there was a godsend with the kids). From about 0900 onwards there were so many people trying to pick up their ski gear, and it was super busy and a little stressful. The best part was the kids instructor called Phil, he was amazing and really made our holiday. An amazing instructor and surrogate dad for the week, the kids all loved him! By the end of the week, they were using the 6 man lifts and all skiing down blue and Green runs. A fantastic holiday in a great resort which is really reasonably priced.
