This tour is tailored for adventure seekers who want to immerse yourself in local H’mong life in the old forest. You will have a change to discover the real nature in Mu Cang Chai such as De Xu Phinh, Hang Gang or Che Tao area, where most of the tourists couldn't reach it.

Spending 2 days 1 night with local ethnic people, join in to gather mushroom, vegetables, catch fish, rats, frogs, crabs, collect the wild bee honey, cooking, enjoy the natural music together. Our local tourguide speak english will help you understand what you can find to eat and how to survive in the old forest. During the trip you might see some animals, insects, vegetable, tree that you have never seen before in your life.

Pick up time is around 0-30 minutes before departure time. Our guide in a yellow T-shirt will meet you at the pick up point . We also provide pick up from Mu Cang chai town and different locations out of the general area (with extra surcharge). Please fell free to contact us for any special requierment.

Mu Cang Chai

- Around 8:30am: You will meet your local tourguide speak English at Mu Cang Chai Backpacker Hostel and start the trip. You will go by motorbikes with local drivers for 20km and then start the trek. During the trek you will have chance to collect the mushroom, vegetable. - 12am: Have lunch - 1pm: Keep continue trekking to see the beautiful old forest, listen the music from animals, insect, birds - 3pm: You will arrive at a river where you will make simple tent to sleep overnight and dig the earthworm to prepare fishing. - 5pm: Make some traps with local guide to catch some rats. - 6pm: Fishing by earthworm and catch from by light with local guide speak english. - 8pm: Dinner and go to bed

Mu Cang Chai

- 8am: Breakfast - 9:30am: Start trekking to go to looking beehive and collect wild bee honey. We have many type of bees in the old forest so depend the day you booked this tour and we can show you the bee we found. Depend the season we have bee honey or not but the bee honey season is begin from April to October. We have 2 popular bees types. The big bee is migrated and just make honey from April to October, from November to March is not living here and the honey is focus on April, May, September, October. The small bee live here whole year and make honey follow the flower season and make beehive inside the tree, underground. If you are lucky and get honey from the trip we will show you how to squeeze the honey and give you 200ml/person for gift . - 12am: Have lunch - Around 3pm arrive at Mu Cang Chai Backpacker hostel and finish trip.
