Wake up to an energizing cup of Coffee; go to the park headquarters for registration and pre trekking briefing by experienced park rangers. The ranger guides will narrate to you about the life of these gorillas and then assign a maximum of eight people to a gorilla group for tracking. The trekking exercise is done on foot deep in the jungle, as the ranger guide follows where the apes were last seen the previous day and then through the hilly terrain and lush plants. The search exposes one to a variety of plants, birds, and primates. Depending on how far the apes have moved and your pace; tracking the gorillas may last for over 1-7 hours, plus an additional hour of photography, making inquiries and watching poses of the gentle silverback. Thereafter have a Lunch Break; followed by a visit to Batwa pygmies; one of the shortest people in the world and former hunters and gatherers in the Bwindi jungle.

Best africa tour agency! Moses helped us planning everything, from giving advices for hotels, over plan the routes to booking the gorilla trekking. Chris guided us through the Queen Elizbaeth Nationalpark. We saw a lot of amazing animals, he knows very good places. Afterwards we went all together for a drink, very nice guys. Can only recommend.

My guide Mustafa was amazing! As a solo female traveler I felt safe and taken care of. The accommodations for this journey were GREAT and relaxing. Which was much needed after long drives and treks. I highly recommend this once in a life time experience for anyone and definitely recommend booking with Native Travelers. Make sure to ask for Mustafa as your guide.

I went for 5 day Trip with Native Africa Tours from 08-Sep to 12-Sep starting from Entebbe Airport covering Equator, Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Gorilla 🦍 Trek, Lake Bunyoni and Kazinga Channel before dropping us back in Entebbe Airport. Our Guide Brian was very helpful in every stage. Chris owner of the company is prompt in response despite being sick 🤢. They arranged stay in Mpogo Lodge near Mbarara for 2 days, Gorilla 🦍 Havens Lodge in Bwindi and Rock Resort in Lake Bunyoni. Mpogo lodge and Rock Resport are perfect mid range choices. Gorilla 🦍 Havens seems to be between Budget and Mid Range - It seems they renovated a budget lodge, but still room size and features are far below mid range. When I had water issues with Mpogo Lodge on day 1, I informed our guide Brian who arranged for better alternate room on same lodge for day 4 stay. Food 🥘 is very good in all places. Brian stopped on many places so that I can click beautiful photos. We applied for Gorilla 🦍 trekking permit in Rushaga sector, but got the same in Nkuringo sector. Trek was good with medium challenging level. Brian helped to arrange for better Gorilla 🦍 group. In Kazinga Channel I went for public shared boating 🛶 I feel they covered very limited area during those 2 hours. This is one aspect I think improvement is required as they deliberately drive slowly in last few minutes. I highly recommend Native Africa Tours specially inform Chris to allot Brian as Guide for your memorable experience.

I had a truly unforgettable experience with Native African Tours, and I can’t recommend them enough. From the very beginning, it was clear that this is a locally based company that genuinely cares about their clients. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and constant communication made me feel confident and supported throughout the entire process. Despite giving them very short notice, they went above and beyond to arrange a wonderful trekking excursion to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Getting gorilla permits on such short notice is no small feat, but they made it happen—and the result was a trip I’ll never forget. Moses deserves special recognition—he managed all the logistics seamlessly and kept in close contact with me every step of the way, always making sure everything was in place and adapting to my needs with genuine care. And Chris, my guide, was simply outstanding. Warm, knowledgeable, and full of good energy—he made the trek not just smooth, but truly special. The lodges we stayed throughout the trip exceeded everything I had in mind: incredible views and the nicest and warmest service. If you're planning a visit to Uganda, you can trust Native African Tours to arrange the best trip you can have. They’re passionate, reliable, and deeply committed to sharing the beauty of their country in the most authentic and meaningful way. And you will be supporting local businesses. Thank you, Moses and Chris, for showing me a side of Uganda I’ll always carry with me.

An experience you won't forget - driving to Bwindi, taking in its breathtaking nature at Rushaga Gorilla Haven's Lodge (offering tasty local food and dawa tea), before trekking through Bwindi Impenetrable forest, encountering a family of wild mountain Gorillas 🦍 up-close and in a small group of trekkers (pictures attached). Lake Bunyonyi is equally worth visiting and Native Africa Tours knows where the best spots and lodges are located (Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort is a gem!) I'd definitely book with them again 👍👌

This was an amazing experience: first and foremost the mountain gorillas, but also the landscapes and scenery, lake Bunyonyi, and the visit to the Batwa community were excellent. The lodges were good and the food mostly very tasty and good.

It was the most incredible experience of my life. Being so close to the gorillas, seeing how they live, is indescribable. My guides: Mustafa and Ashraf, were amazing, very attentive, we had a lot of fun (very important since the trip to Bwindi from Entebbe takes 11 hours)

WOW! What an amazing experience we have had with Native Africa tours. We knew they would be amazing as we have used them before for other trips. Our guides, Chris and Deus, are full of knowledge, put our priorities first, and communicate clearly about the itinerary. On the way to Bwindi, we had many stops and got to see some wildlife on the way. This made the drive from Kampala to Bwindi not feel long at all. The lodge near Bwindi had a fantastic view, one that you can only dream of, overlooking Bwindi forest and got us all excited for the trekking the next day. During dinner we got all information and tips for the trekking and to prepare us for the early morning the next day. The trekking definitely was the best thing we’ve ever done. Seeing the Gorillas up close is just unreal. When we came back, the guides were waiting for us in order to go to the next activity. I cannot recommend this organisation enough. They’ve always made sure that we get the absolute best experience possible and that’s exactly what we got!
