The High Atlas Mountains near Marrakech offer some of the finest trekking in the world. This a stunning 3 days trek in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. We trek through a variety of landscapes from lush valleys to barren rock. The route takes us through colourful Berber villages with there agriculture terraces and irrigation system, over nice mountain passes slowly ascending to our highest point at 2700m at the top of Yagour plateau who offers diffrent things to see, and its a cultural tour,who bring you more deep,to get to know more about the indigenouse people in the atlas,Yagour plateau is one of the best places to visit, because you really can see and explore a lot about pastures and grazing periods and territories during certain seasons and there is a lot to explore for does who are interested in archaelogical an geomorphologic gem with its unique erosional forms with some chemical karst formations on various stone slabs phytochemical dissolutions of lichens.

1 Day: we pick you up from your accommodation in marrakesh to the direction of the atlas mountains,After some 40 minutes we get to the gate of ourika then in about 30 minutes we should arrive to Tzitount(1200m),there will meet our crew(muleteer,guide,cooker)then we start our dream trip to the villages of Ait oucheg there you will be attracted with the architecture and the agriculture terraces of barely and potatoes,lunch at the end of Imaoun nighzan canyon with a spectacular view from far to the ourika river and the plateau of Timenkar, then will reach the Azib(summer goats herders) of Ait weygran with nice building rocky pastures of sedimentary ,just after will be at the first part of the plateau(2600).arrive to the bivouac by the spring (5 hours ) stay overnight.

Day 2: after breakfast,we set off on our hike along the plateau by the narrow mule track till the foothills of Tizi nghlis to turn left after by the rocky way to Iferd lac,then we go for a lunch in the highest plateau for 1hour (2700)with a panoramic view towards Meltsen mount(3600),after lunch we visit the rock carvings who are dating more than (4000) years old in about 30 minutes then we cross northern the plateau exploring the unique erosional forms,buzarre aeolian or fluviatile forms and the chemical karst formations with the sparse landscaps,bivouac by the edge of the plateau with a spectacular view of the sunset.stay overnight after (6hours)
By Iferd we will have 1 hour lunch with a wonderful view to Meldsen mountain.

day 3:after breakfast the trail will lead us over the steep edge of the plateau by the cliff of Tizi noghri,through the canyon of tachemcht crossing the terrace agriculture,lunch in 1 hour and continue down to the ourika valley by Tazarin path for about 2 hours,there we say goodbye for our crew and pick you up to marrakesh(5 hour)

5.00A huge thank you to Hassan who made us (5 girls) cover the Ourika Valley! Hassan has been an outstanding guide, very attentive to the group, anxious that everyone be satisfied with the trek. He was able to give us a lot of information about the place and its culture. 3 awesome days, beautiful landscapes, and I rarely ate as well as on top of these mountains: thanks to our 3 mule boats who were incredible! I recommend Hassan as a 300% guide, you can go with your eyes closed!

5.00My family and I spent 2 nights at Ibrahim’s place followed by two days of hiking and a night in the mountains. Despite our varying hiking capabilities, Hassan was patient, encouraging and kind in guiding all five us throughout the trek. The places we crossed were absolutely breathtaking — scenery that was made even better by the incredible food that was prepared for us and the lovely conversations Hassan and Ibrahim, both of whom were so knowledgeable about the region. Thank you for such a special and valuable time, we hope to be back very soon!

5.00I highly recommend Hassan, Ibrahim and Connie. I came to Morocco on my own to experience the beauty of the country to bring a group of people back with me on a Yoga/ hiking/ exploring retreat in 2023. They treated me like the queen. Amlougui house high in the mountains was a beautiful place to whine down after a long trip from Australia before Connie and Ibrahim took me exploring the mountains near by the next day. Picking cherries and smelling the fresh mint, thyme and other herbs on the way I was in my element. Then I took off with Hassan to the dessert. Wow wow wow, although hot it was incredible. The sights along the way were also incredible. Morocco is absolutely beautiful and so are the people and food. The hiking was also incredible, spending a night in a tent in the Atlas will be a moment I will never forget. I highly recommend this business. The team are awesome, honest and passionate about what they do. I can’t wait to be back. Thank you to the team and their families who cooked amazing food ❤️❤️❤️

5.00Hassan is a very experienced guide, attentive to the group, ready to answer any questions. The landscapes are extremely varied and the food is delicious (crepes thousand holes every morning, various tagines, bread made in the tent, etc). The mule players are as friendly as the guide. In short, I recommend +++ for an unforgettable holiday where you take care of nothing, just enjoy the Atlas landscapes. Thank you Hassan and see you soon!!!

5.00I have had the pleasure of doing several guided tours with Ibrahim and Morocco Atlas Tours. Ibrahim is an excellent guide. He planned wonderful trips and offers a wealth of knowledge about Morocco. We enjoyed delicious hot meals on our various treks, and nice lodging or tent options. Ibrahim is an expert in the area and is an excellent guide. He offers an authentic experience and will accommodate any of your needs. I loved every trip I did with Ibrahim!
