Bridge Between Continents
Simply a footbridge put between the fissure, to symbolically explain how Iceland represents the separation of the North American and European tectonic plates
Reykjanes Lighthouse
Is an iconic and the oldest lighthouse built in Iceland. The lighthouse is perched atop a hill that is not too far from some massive cliffs that overlook the ocean.
Valahnukamol
Valahnúkamöl cliffs jut out of the ocean 33 feet high, repeatedly pounded by the elements for thousands of years resulting in its craggy weathered appearance.
Gunnuhver Hot Springs
impressive and colorful geothermal field of various mud pools and fumaroles tale of Gunnuhver is an example of classic Icelandic folklore, tying together the harshness of life on the island, ghosts, curses, and the saving power of Christianity.
The main geothermal areas in Krysuvik banks around the hot springs are colored green, yellow, and red. Columns of steam rise skywards and the bubbling mud pools play their rhythmic symphony.
Kleifarvatn Lake
Kleifarvatn is one of the largest lake in Iceland, about 10km2 and about 136 meters above sea level. The lake is located on the Reykjanes peninsula between Sveifluhálsar and Vatnshlíðar. It is the largest lake on the Reykjanes peninsula and the third largest in South Iceland. The greatest depth of the water is about 97 meters.
Fagradalsfjall Volcano
Impressive fresh dried lava valley from last volcano eruption
Brimketill
A small, naturally carved pool, by marine erosion, at the lava shore edge west of the town of Grindavík.
Grindavik
A fishing town on the Reykjanes Peninsula with a coziest coffee house in Iceland
Is a long line of sheer sea lava cliffs south of the old fishing hamlet of Hafnir.
Pingvellir National Park
Is one of the best geological wonders in Iceland. This UNESCO World Heritage Site and Game of Thrones film location. Epic Icelandic landscape, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet! Þingvellir means assembly fields and in the year 930 AD, Iceland’s historic democratic parliament – one of the first in the world – was founded there. Most Icelandic people regard Þingvellir as a sacred place, a place of great beauty and an incredible stepping stone in their history.
Geysir
The Great Geysir, which is no longer active. The area is filled with steam vents, bubbling pits, and sizzling ponds, with multicolored patches dotted here and there. The main show of the site is the active Strokkur Geyser that gushes 20 meters up in the air every 5 to 10 minutes. The spectacular, lively sight is the highlight of the Geysir geothermal field.
Gullfoss
It is an astonishing waterfall originating from Iceland’s second-largest glacier Langjökull. Its roaring cascade first runs down a gradual slope for 11 meters (36.01 ft) then tumbles down deep into the canyon with a 21 meter (68.9 ft) magnificent, wide drop, creating impressive, beautiful mist to splash up in the air, reflecting a giant rainbow in the sunlight.
Kerid Crater
We will first make a stop at the Kerid Crater in the Golden Circle, a volcanic crater lake that formed around 3000 years ago. It’s famous for the stark contrast in colors - maroon mineral sediment, dark lava rocks, and blueish lake water - forming a naturally eye-pleasing sigh
Fridheimar
The one and only Friðheimar Tomato Soup served on a buffet with sour cream, home-baked bread, cucumber salsa, butter and fresh herbs
Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin
The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. It was made in 1891 at Hverahólmi, a geothermal area near Flúðir.
Seljalandsfoss is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in South Iceland with a whooping 196 ft (60 m) cascade. The waterfall is loved by travelers because you can actually walk behind it! Step behind the curtain of water and marvel at Iceland’s South Coast from a completely new perspective. In popular culture, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland has been featured in movies and music videos. Justin Bieber’s music video for the song “I’ll Show You” was filmed at many South Iceland attractions, including Seljalandsfoss. Parts of the TV series “The Amazing Race 6” and “CKY2K” were shot near the waterfall.
Gljúfrabúi waterfall is one of Iceland’s most ravishing hidden gems. Located just off the famous Ring Road, this natural wonder has managed to stay somewhat unknown until recently. Gljúfrabúi waterfall is 40 meters (131ft) and runs from the Gljúfurá River.
Skogafoss
Skógafoss waterfall has been my all-time favorite waterfall in Iceland. Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, and you can walk right up to, but be prepared to be drenched. It is just overwhelming standing next to it.
Kvernufoss
Kvernufoss waterfall is a beautiful 30-meters high (98 ft) waterfall that is half-hidden away in a gorge in South Iceland, yet very close to the ring-road.
Gluggafoss/Merkjarfoss
Gluggafoss waterfall is one of Iceland’s hidden gems and has a rare geological composition. This unique waterfall is a part of the series of falls running from the river Merkjá. Gluggafoss fall drops in two steps, with an initial plunge of 146 feet followed by falling through three channels for 28 feet, resembling a majestic inverted trident
Reynisfjara Beach
Reynisfjara black sand beach is the most famous beach on the South Coast of Iceland. Its beautiful black sand, powerful waves, and the nearby Reynisdrangar sea stacks make Reynisfjara a truly unique place to visit and a popular filming location (Game of Thrones, Star Wars and more). Reynisfjara Beach is one of the most well-known black sanded beach in the whole world. This is a place of wild and dramatic beauty where the roaring waves of the Atlantic Ocean power ashore with tremendous force. In 1991, Reynisfjara appeared on the top ten list of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world, and it is very easy to see why it was chosen!
Dyrholaey
Is a small peninsula and it got its name thanks to a gigantic black arch of lava (hill-island with door-hole). The rocks of Dyrhólaey lures annually dozens of thousands of migrating birds to bear their eggs here
Solheimajokull Glacier
Stunning glacier in southern Iceland, between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull.
Vik
Southernmost village of Iceland. Even though it only has a population of about 300 it is an important place since it is the biggest settlement in a big area. If we are lucky during summer we can spot puffins there and enjoy good food in decloucious resteruant.

We took a multi-day tour with Luke last month and he delivered an experience beyond our wildest expectations! The mix of main attractions and remote secret locations was perfect! The wedding quality photos provided after the trip have allowed us to share our adventures with our friends and family. Luke’s local knowledge allowed us to visit 2x the number of locations other tours were offering. The restaurants we stopped at were amazing, we never would have found them on our own. Luke was always prompt and the vehicle was extremely comfortable and spacious. If you are looking for the best customizable Iceland experience, look no further than Luke and Secret Spots!

WOW!! We had an amazing adventure of a lifetime with Luke! This was our first time in Iceland and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Three days with Luke was absolutely magical. We explored waterfalls, glaciers, and beautiful lava formations. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel, he was relaxed, easy to talk to, and felt like family. Luke went above and beyond each day to make sure we had the best experience and he made it look effortless. Not only did he take us to the must see sights, but he also showed us areas that we would have never done on our own; like crossing a river in his Land Cruiser! Most of the time we were the only ones there to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Iceland. I LOVE GEOLOGY and he was very accommodating of all my wishes and did not disappoint. Luke also knew the best places for photos with the right angles and were fortunate to be sent home with treasured memories for a lifetime. We are so blessed to have met Luke and cannot recommend him highly enough. Dziękuję, Lukasz!

This is the way to do Iceland without a doubt. Forget about the buses where your loaded on and off like cattle and do this instead where you get a much more private experience. The amount of things I saw and learned about throughout my day and half was really special. Highly recommend using these guys for any adventures you are looking for in Iceland as these guys can make it happen.

Luke gave us a fantastic and unique adventure! I had the opportunity to go with 4 more friends and we were delighted with Iceland. Luke is the perfect balance to give details during walks and give you time to enjoy with your friends and the scenery. When I return to my family we will definitely be taking this tour again! Gracias Luke!

Our group of 4 was picked up/dropped off at Reykjavík apartment after easy booking online and clear communications via email and speaking personally on WhatsApp. We booked 2 days seeing magnificent bluffs, waterfalls, lava fields, etc that included hiking we requested. Our other 2 days, as Luke recommended we see on our own as we had a rented car included South Coast and Golden Circle (both of which were crowded with tourists). The areas Luke took us (Highlands and Reykjanes peninsula) were definitely off the beaten path. No tour buses or tourists. One particular waterfall was so grand that in all my travels it was most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen!!

When I wanted to propose to my girlfriend in Iceland, Luke crafted an amazing experience taking us to some breathtaking spots and planning the whole day incredibly. He was flexible depending on the weather, especially when it was pouring with rain and snow when I was just about to propose! We persisted and Luke put time, care and attention to make sure it was a perfect moment for us. The day was the right balance of secret spots and the well known areas in Iceland. Luke was very chill, knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to be able to share our special day with him. He really made it a trip of a lifetime. Luke also captured our day through great photos and videos for which we will always be grateful for. We even managed to go on second day tour to the south coast later in the week and Luke treated us to local Icelandic snacks and ice cream! Next time we are in Iceland we will be sure to see Luke again and definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip!

Even before we arrived in Iceland Luke helped answers our questions. Traveling with a group of 4 we wanted to see as much as possible and having Luke as our guide and driver allowed us to see so many sights. Loved getting his candid and group pictures of our group too! He's dependable and timely! We would love to visit Iceland again and would definitely ask Luke to guide us again! 🇮🇸

A reminder of the power and beauty of nature, expertly guided and captured in photos by Luke. This was the trip of a lifetime for a milestone birthday, though we weren’t sure where to start or what to see. The tourist guide websites felt overwhelming in terms of choice of things to do and it was difficult to know what to book. Thankfully, we found Luke at @secretspotsoficeland. Not only did he provide counsel ahead of our trip of where to stay and eat in Reykjavik, he also helped curate a tailored itinerary for us and our two nearly adult children on the South Coast of Iceland. There was something for everyone - physical challenges for our teens, majestic beauty and nature for us and great culinary recommendations along the way. Not only was the trip well planned, Luke’s love of both Iceland and the spectacular beauty around us was palpable. He has shared the most precious photos of our family with us as a result and we are so grateful for these memories being captured on film. Iceland will stay with us for decades to come - and we are so grateful for Luke’s part in making this an experience we will never forget.

I went to Iceland for the first time on a birthday trip. If you want a customized private off road adventure/photo session making you feel like the luckiest person in the world then go with Luke. He was amazing. He was able to show us a lot in the short winter time we had. I plan to come back for a different season!
