  Our guide, Kaho-san, was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly well versed in Sumo. Her English is flawless. Completely embodied the spirit of "Omotenashi". Fantastic seats. After 3.5 years of watching Sumo on YouTube, it was well worth the expense.

  The sumo tournament was so much more exciting and interesting than I expected. The stadium was filled with energy. Will definitely go again. Our guide on the day was a lovely lady who I forgot the name of.. she looked after the group for the whole tournament and is very fair. She explained and filled in some details about the history of sumo 👍

  Yuki was a wonderful guide. She was very easy to locate at the small station near the arena. Very friendly, proficient in English, and helpful. The office was polite and communactive over Viator leading up to the tour. We were concerned with how few reviews there were and how difficult finding tickets was, but we're so happy to have gone for it. An excellent experience all around. Note that seats in the box (floor, chairs, or couches) are offered to the wider group of ~ 15 people by a Japanese lottery. Moreover, we could only communicate over Viator since the guide only has their personal phone and didn't have WhatsApp, but it was no issue.

  Perfect way to watch sumo for first timers and dedicated fans! Great seats, easy to find the tour host. Sumo is very popular and it can be difficult to buy tickets directly online. This option through JTB and Viator was very easy and a good value for the price. The seats were excellent, toward the back of the first level. There was even an area with chairs and sofa. It was very easy to find the tour host with tickets. The timing was good to get tickets and go into the arena with some time to walk around to find souvenirs and food before the main matches began. The tour guide was great at explaining the basics of sumo and answering questions. She also explained what was happening if there was something unusual like a draw and rematch. I recommend this to first timers and two longtime fans.

  It was a wonderful experience. Noriko-san was an excellent tour guide and extremely helpful and kind throughout the event. The pick-up was a bit crowded at first as there were a lot of other tour groups from other tour operators coming together in the same area, but I was able to find our group and guide ahead of the scheduled meeting time. The premium seating area featured a great view of the Dojo with both Japanese- and Western-style seating, and even had a mini-fridge and a TV showing the main camera’s stream. It’s worth noting that virtually all stores in the stadium will close between 4pm and 5pm, long before the last bout which typically starts just before 6pm. So one should make sure to try that bowl of delicious Chanko Nabe and do any souvenir shopping before the start of the Makuuchi bouts.

  Professional !! .. we had great experience and a pleasant sumo evening. From meeting at the train station for the tickets through the arena walk and seating area the host was very friendly and informative through out the whole evening. Additionaly we recieved a brochure in english explains everything about sumo. The sport company also adds thier own personal contact incase of an emergency. Thank you

  Participated in Premium Sumo Tournament and after meeting at Ryogoku station, our guide Ms Yucco escorted us inside the sumo stadium to meet another guide Mr Hiro Morita a famous NHK play by play sumo announcer who gave us interpretation, explanation and tidbits about each bout from Juryu (intermediate division) to the well known and famous Makuuchi (Senior Division). Best of all, afterwards we had a chance to meet and have great Q&A with Kitajin Oyakata from Onoe beya (Onoe Stable). It was interestingly informative to learn more about sumo world and history. Highly recommended.
