The guide was wonderful and I really enjoyed the ride. It was so much better than the larger group tours in the Reykjavik area. The horse was great and it's a beautiful part of Iceland.

The 6 day riding tour through the river delta with the herd was the stuff of dreams come true. Stunning scenery, plucky and well behaved horses, amazing guides, perfectly equipped and ready for any weather. It’s Iceland so sometimes it’s windy, sometimes it’s cold, sometimes it rains so be ready for that. The guides help equip you for all those conditions and if you follow their advice then It all adds to the experience of being in the wilderness and understanding how hard working these people and animals have been for hundreds of years. Only do this tour if you’re looking for that kind of adventure - if you are - it’s so worth it. Gracina, Tina, Elissa, Hjelti, Inga - thank you for such an unforgettable week!! Can’t wait until we meet again!

This was a great time! We had two guides for the five of us, who had to re-route us last minute as I hadn’t realized when booking that the 3hr ride was for intermediate and up riders, and there were several family members who had never ridden. We still got to see the waterfall, tolt, and enjoy beautiful scenery. Icelandic horses are go-goes, unlike American tourist rides where the horses all plod in a line whether you want them to or not, so lots of fun!

The reservation went perfectly, and we were glad we booked in advance. We were in a small group of six people with horses and had two fantastic guides. We only have limited experience, yet we still got to try the Tölt and some faster riding. The ride through the river will be unforgettable for us! We also recommend the Hestasport accommodation – cabins with their own private hot tubs!

Loved the River Delta ride! My first ride in Iceland, but definitely not the last. Julia, the instructor, as well as the staff at the reception, made sure I was comfortable and safe at all times and matched me with a great horse for the ride. Thank you!!🤩

Super pleasant 1h30 Viking outing with 2 very friendly and smiling guides. Annjulie and Maud (who spoke French to help us understand better 😉). Very complete route (path, along the river, river crossing, waterfall) with practice of walking and Icelandic style. And adorable horses. There were 9 of us on 12/08. We recommend.

Superb ride with Aude, crazy scenery during the 3 hours outing, long moments of toölt, a great horse, who goes forward, is afraid of nothing, and so beautiful! The horses are well treated, zen, the equipment is well maintained, the stables clean, the staff welcoming, nothing to blame:) Thank you very much for this perfect time 😊😊😊
