From the very first email enquiring about a private tour, Bernhard was always readily available and answered my many questions. Once there, he was always punctual and shared his vast knowledge and love of Kruger with us on our many trips. We saw many beautiful animals and birds but the highlight of our trip was definitely seeing Mfowethu, Casper's brother stealing a kill from a pack of wild dogs. Thank you Bernhard. Will definitely be back.

We had the most incredible experience in Kruger Park thanks to PK Safaris! From the very first conversations with Bernhard to design our trip, to the moment Hennie — our amazing guide throughout the stay — dropped us off at the airport, everything was seamless, thoughtful, and full of good vibes. Our 4-day safari in Kruger was unforgettable — we were lucky enough to spot the Big Five, and every game drive was filled with excitement, insights, and passion from Hennie. We also had the chance to explore the breathtaking Panorama Route, which was the perfect addition to the adventure. Hennie and Bernhard truly went above and beyond to make this trip special. Their kindness, expertise, and love for nature made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for more — thank you both for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We totally recommend PK Safaris to anyone looking for a magical and stress-free safari in Kruger Park!

My wife & I spent 6 days, 5 nights with Bernard. Being newly retired, this was a bucket-list trip of a lifetime. First time in Africa. Everyone uses the word "amazing" and it seems to have lost the depth it once conveyed. We saw all the animals and more. The big 5; herds of elephants, hippo, many lions, everything. The highlight was a trío of lions chasing a cheetah. More, Bernard was a knowledgeable guide and a good conversationalist. I learned much about South Africa, poaching, politics and even the future of the country & it's people and their potential. Clearly, a man who loves South Africa. I cannot thank him enough for making our trip one of the best adventures we have ever had. I will heartily reccomend him as a guide, compasión & friend.

After spending 5 days with Bernhard and Henni we can wholeheartedly say that they were excellent safari guides. Not only did they show us the animals In Kruger park but they were excited and motivated to give us a full experience. We learned about animal behavior, safari photography, bird watching and bird calls , botany , geology, bush maintenance and the ecological balance of the park. They shared their deep love of Kruger park and we felt their passion. On top of that they were funny, punctual and friendly. Thank you, Bernhard & Hennie Julie & Gilead

This is the 2nd time my husband and I used Private Kruger Safaris for our trip to Kruger National Park. They are hands down the 2 best safari guides around. Having 2 sets of eyes to look out for the animals increases you chance of seeing great wildlife tremendously. While Hennie drives, Bernhard sits elevated in the back of the safari vehicle providing yet another pair of eyes. And while I'm talking about eyes, I really think the Bekker brothers have 10/10 vision (if that is possible) because they spot animals in the distance that my husband and I initially couldn't even see!!! Hennie is extremely adept at getting the safari vehicle in just the right location for amazing viewing and fantastic photos. And the Bekker brothers know their animals. There are hundreds of species of birds in Kruger, and they pretty much know them all. They also have the safari vehicle equipped with an iPad so they can quickly pull up photos and information about each species. We spent 6 absolutely wonderful days with Hennie and Bernhard, traveling to 2 rest camps; Satara and Skukuza. And they were able to get us on ALL the big game...Male lions, female lions, lions with cubs, lions nursing cubs, Casper the famous white lion, leopards, leopards with cubs, cheetah, wild dogs, Cape buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, zebra, impala, hyena, kudu, wildebeest, ostrich, numerous birds, and even a flap-necked chameleon!!! Every day my husband and I thought they couldn't top the day before...but they did! And if you are a photographer, their tremendous knowledge of photography (both are accomplished photographers) and light allow for some incredible shots. Their safari vehicle is equipped with mounted tripods and beanbags allowing for some great shooting opportunities. Bernhard and Hennie work hard to give you the absolute BEST safari experience possible. If you are thinking about using a safari company while in South Africa I would highly recommend Private Kruger Safaris. Our trip was one of the best vacations we have ever had, and we will definitely be using Private Kruger Safaris again when we return to South Africa. The Bekker brothers truly define the word extraordinary...they are the real deal!

We had an amazing salary with PK Safaris. Bernard was our guide and he ensured we got the opportunity to see all the excitement going on in the park. He knows the animals and where they are likely to be due to his years of experience. He obviously has a good connection and reputation with other reputable guides who help each other give their clients all that Kruger has to offer. We truly had a unique and customized experience. We didn’t realize how great until out of the park we were describing our trip to other tourists, locals, even other guides. They were all amazed. We can’t wait to come back with our kids!

During tour I could see all kind of animals in Kruger and also captured great and beautiful moment of animals since they had good talent for finding animals and also know which light and time were good for picture. I travelled long time in Africa and did many different kind of safari in other country but they are really kind and passionable person. I was happy and satisfied with them.

Private Kruger Safaris was awesome. It was great to be picked up at the airport and have the safari vehicle to ourselves. Our guides Bernhard and Arno were excellent. We saw the big five+ and learned a lot about the animals and South Africa in general. Exceptional value - unforgettable time.

Our guide, Arno, was a pleasure. He was VERY knowledgable about all the animals and the park. He's also an amazing photography. The accommodations in the park were very nice. Clean beds, showers, fridge, etc. We stayed at Pretoriuskop and the larger Skukuza camps. Both had small stores w/ groceries and souvenirs. The park itself is so lush with wildlife that you will not have ANY trouble seeing most of the animals. We saw a plethora of animals every day while out on safari, with the cats being the hardest to catch out in the open when they aren't taking cat-naps. Highly recommend this tour for anyone planning a trip to South Africa.
