Geofrey is an exceptional professional. He was always punctual for every activity, and the itinerary was thoughtfully designed. His vehicle was clean and well prepared each day, making the entire journey seamless, comfortable, and safe. Even on the long and demanding drive from Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park, he remained fully attentive and passionate, and still delivered extraordinary wildlife sightings and stunning landscapes. His dedication, reliability, and high standards truly set him apart. We would not hesitate to recommend Geofrey and the Lion King company to our friends.

Our private tour guide Geofrey made this safari truly special. Every day was full of new animals and stories. We thought we were lucky to see far more beyond “the Big Five,” but we also know this would not have been possible without Geofrey’s experience. Beyond wildlife, he shared so much about Tanzanian culture and daily life, which gave our journey real depth. He is kind, friendly, and made us feel relaxed, safe, and very lucky. Having experienced extraordinary destinations such as the Amazon rainforest and Yellowstone National Park, we can truly say this Tanzania safari exceeded all our expectations.

  • Safari in Tarangire, Ndutu and Ngorongoro

We had a fantastic safari with Benjamin from Lion King Adventures. We visited Tarangire, Ndutu, Ngorongoro and Manyara over a 5-day drive. We saw the big five and it seems like all the other major animals during the safari - a lot of giraffes and also cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, zebras, ostriches and an endless stream of wildebeest. Benjamin is an amazing guide, he was always giving us information about the flora and fauna around us, but also about Tanzania in general, the local customs and day-to-day life. He also had an answer ready for any of our questions. A large portion of the safari is off-road driving which is challenging, but Benjamin is an excellent driver and passed parts of the road where other cars had difficulties without us really noticing. The accommodations were all very cozy and extremely welcoming, especially the tent camp in Ndutu where there was a New Years cake on Jan 1 which was a small celebration in itself with a song. And an elephant walked (safely) through the camp at night which was an unforgettable experience. Overall we’re extremely happy with our first safari and we hope this is the first of many!

Great safari option that exceeded all expectations! In January, we embarked on an incredible week-long trip. The trip was organized at the highest level: we had a clear schedule, comfortable hotels and very delicious picnics in the national parks. The main success was our guide Joffrey, a true professional. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, we have been able to see not only the entire Big Five, but also rare predators like the cheetah and the serval, which is a good thing. Joffrey also spoke with great affection about the animals' habits and life in the wild, answering all our questions. Even from the greased photograph, he could identify the Damane! The experience of this trip will be with us forever. It was the perfect combination of adventure, comfort and deep dive into the wilderness world.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Lion King Adventures, and especially to our guide Goodluck Martin, for making our safari truly unforgettable. Goodluck spent several days with us and impressed us with his deep knowledge of the parks, wildlife, and birdlife. He was attentive to our needs and wishes, always ensuring we made the most of every moment. We felt safe, well cared for, and constantly inspired by his passion and insights. A special thank you to him for helping us capture the best photos and angles throughout the trip. In the end, it was really Goodluck who made our safari so unique and memorable—not only because he showed us the Big Five :D but because of the way he guided us through the whole experience.

Amazing, once in a lifetime experience. We did a 6-six day private safari tour with Lion King Adventures, exploring the Ngorongoro-crater, Serengeti National Park, River Mara and Lake Natron. We were lucky and saw lots of animals including „the big five“ and a stunning river crossing. Our accomodations were clean, offered delicious food and charming hosts. Most of the credit goes to our funny, knowledgeable and helpful tour guide Freddie, who did everything he can, to make our experience even better.

TL;DR: This was the trip of a lifetime thanks to Lion King Adventures. Our overall experience was amazing and we can’t wait to book again with Lion King Adventures to see Tanzania during the Rainy season! Booking Process: From the moment we reached out to Lion King Adventures, Nickson and the Lion King staff were extremely attentive to our questions and helped us plan a customized itinerary based on our preferences and travel dates. Lion King offered the best service at the most competitive pricing compared to other local tour operators and we felt informed and comfortable throughout the planning and payment process. Airport Pick up & Transfer: Our arrival, pick up, and transfer from JRO was seamless. Simon was waiting for us promptly once we cleared customs and provided comfortable transportation to our first lodge. Simon was wonderful to talk to and hear about his experiences growing up in the Maasai tribe. Safari Experience: Our safari itinerary follows: Day 1: Tarangire National Park Days 2-4: Serengeti National Park Day 5: Ngorongoro crater Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park We could not be happier with how our Safari went! Our guide David was extremely intelligent, warm and friendly, and overall joy to spend six days with! David was very attentive throughout our safari and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Our itinerary was wonderfully curated and I believe we spent the perfect amount of time in each park. During our trip we were able to see the Big 5, hundreds of elephants, giraffes and other herbivores, and even able to see the Great Migration of wildebeest crossing over the Mara River back into Tanzania! Witnessing the great migration was an indescribable experience and due to David being able to put us in the right spot at the right time. David mentioned that we were extremely lucky throughout our safari for all of our wildlife sightings but I think his experience and knowledge of the parks and animals was the actual good luck charm! Lodging: Lion King arranged for us to stay at the following lodges during our safari: Paruzi Inn Eileen’s Trees Inn Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp Sero Tented Camp All of the lodges were very clean and comfortable and the staff at each were exceptional! At each lodge we felt very welcomed and the staff catered to our every need. We received better care and hospitality here than in many of the places we have stayed in the United States and in Europe. Food: Throughout our Safari, the food was delicious and very filling! Breakfast and Dinner at lodges were served Buffett style and packed lunches were had during the day while exploring the parks. All the meals consisted of proteins such as fish, chicken, beef & pork, carbohydrates such as rice and potatoes, and plenty of vegetables. We brought many snacks with us on this trip and ended up barely touching any of them. Zanzibar: Our transfer to Zanzibar was also seamless and we are currently enjoying the Melia Zanzibar Resort. Final thoughts: If you are at the beginning of planning your safari adventure, there is not a better company to do it with than Lion King Adventures! Throughout our safari, we were happy to see that our dollars went to a local tour operator and other local businesses. We found the people of Tanzania extremely warm and welcoming. If you are on unsure about visiting Tanzania, I can assure you that this has been the trip of a lifetime and we cannot wait to come back in the future. Tanzania awaits you!
