Cecil was our driver and, although his English was somewhat limited, he was excellent. He even dropped us back off at a different destination in Brussels than the one scheduled as we wanted to go to a museum. Ben, our tour guide, was excellent. He told us all about the 3 towers of Ghent as well as St. Michael's Church. He joined us to see the gorgeous St. Bavo's altarpiece and guided us towards a cafe that served delicious savory waffle sandwiches. He served us samples of chocolate and the original Ghent raspberry "jelly" candy. Ben was hoping we would have time to see the castle, but the altarpiece was the reason I came to Ghent and that was more important to me. As it was, he spent an extra half hour with us. He was a terrific guide, and we highly recommend him.
