Our classic wine tour will teach you (quite) all about Alsace’s varieties of grapes and terroirs. You’ll visit different estates, observing by yourself the respect for tradition and the careful cultivation of the soil - while admiring the beautiful landscapes of Alsace’s vineyards.

Alsace is well known for its great white grape varieties: Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat and Pinot gris, grown in the 51 Grand Cru appellations, as well as Sylvaner, Pinot blanc and... the region’s only red or rosé wine: the Pinot noir. Crémants sparkling wines are also on offer, rounding off the wide choice offered by Alsace’s winegrowers during tastings.

Come and discover the vineyards, the wines, the people who make them, and the art of living in Alsace. It’s a wine tour that will delight your senses, and one in which you’ll learn while - and this is a priority - having fun!

Domaine Robert Roth

It is in Soultz, a small town located at the southern gates of the Alsace vineyard that the Roth family cultivates vines since the 1940's, on the sandstone and limestone soils of the hills protected from the Vosges mountains. They combine high standards, rigor and sensitivity and produce Great Bio Wines, identifiable by their stature, their precision and their longevity. Patrick, Christophe, Victor and Charlotte ROTH, 3rd and 4th generation of winegrowers-harvesters, make beat the heart of the Domaine.

What a wonderful, educational experience! Jean, our wine tour expert and driver took us on some of the quaintest little towns to meet the wine makers themselves. He took special care to ensure we had a lovely time, down to the minute details. The ride was comfortable and the wine delicious. I would highly recommend if you are looking to learn about this special wine making region of France, Alsace.

Highly recommended tour for family with young adult kids or close knit group. Particularly awesome at avoiding tourist traps and taking us to superb family run jewels in the Alsace wine community. Our guide, Jean, was super knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with. Would absolutely book this tour again.

We had a wonderful tour of the Route Du Vin thanks to our guide Jean and the folks at Alsace Wine Tours. From the morning when we were picked up at our hotel to the end of the afternoon when we were dropped off, we enjoyed friendly, knowledgable and punctual service. There was lots of storytelling about the history of the Alsace region, French culture and one on one tours at wineries, along with tastings. A great way to spend a day in the east of France!

The whole day was perfect! Jean was the most kind, knowledgeable and organised guide. He really was on an aim to make sure we has the best day, and we did! Highly recommend.
