The Mystery House Raiatea invites you through a guided tour to discover more than 20 strange workshops that will put your senses to the test. Inspired by the mythical “Gravity Hills”, which, due to the absence of a visual horizon, give the illusion of seeing a road going up, when in reality it is going down.
Some examples of the workshops presented are:
– La Boussole Folle: a magnetic compass that disorients itself!
– Foucault’s Pendulum: a pendulum that stops by itself!
– The Infinite Arrow: an arrow that always points in the same direction!
– The Reverse Slope: water or ping pong ball going up the slope!
Our best guide is also the instigator of the project. Passionate about optical games and facts not explained a priori, Gérard will take you on a merry-go-round of illusions and change your point of view forever. With a good-natured mood and a desire to share his vision of bizarre things, Gérard will make you have a great time.

4.00Gerard is quite a person, he alone deserves the detour.he created with his hands all his illusions, his sleight of hand and above all this weird house leaning. Make 1 stop you will not waste your time and for children it will be a beautiful discovery.

5.00We made a 45min visit with Gerard who welcomed us with open arms to visit his MysteryHouse. He built everything with his hands and is a real enthusiast so we had a great time. It starts with optical illusions, then by visiting his house leaning with different viewpoints where he takes pictures of us then it ends with very fun games / puzzles / optical illusions. Gerard even gives us the secrets of his tricks! A very long time ago that I recommend you with your eyes closed.

5.00It's a change from what you can find in the offers in Polynesia. We were with family and the children loved it too! Gérard, who gives us the tour, is very funny and puts his whole heart into it :-) I won't say more to leave you with all the surprises, go ahead!!!
