  Danny was a great partner helping me plan a proposal to my girlfriend. He was very supportive, helpful and friendly during the planning and during the photoshoot. The pictures came out amazing. We are so thankful that he found him to capture this special moment for us!

  Our 3-day South Coast adventure with Danny was truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Since aurora sightings can be unpredictable, Danny generously offered us another opportunity to go out on a different night if conditions didn’t work in our favor—something we really appreciated. You can genuinely feel his authenticity and passion through the lens of his camera. I was able to photograph my favorite animal thanks to danny who kindly lent me his camera, helping make that experience even more memorable. The experience even inspired me to rethink and change my own camera preferences afterward. Danny was incredibly accommodating, easygoing, and honestly a breath of fresh air from all the chaos in the world. He made the whole experience feel personal, relaxed, and meaningful. We’re already hoping to come back soon and have Danny guide us along the East Coast next time.   Danny was an incredible guide. From the very beginning, he made a genuine effort to maximize our time exploring and ensured we experienced every stop to the fullest. He never rushed us and always gave us plenty of time to roam, take in the scenery, and truly enjoy each location. On top of that, he took absolutely amazing photos for us at every stop. These are memories we’ll cherish forever. Even though we didn’t get lucky with the auroras, Danny made sure the rest of the trip more than made up for it with unforgettable experiences and great energy throughout the journey. I contacted him months in advance to help plan my proposal, and he went above and beyond. He provided thoughtful recommendations on the perfect locations and helped make the whole plan come together seamlessly. He truly earned the nickname “Proposalman.” We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Danny to anyone visiting Iceland.

  Had the best experience and tour with Danny! From the initial communication and prompt updates in regards to the weather for our Northern lights tour, every detail was very considered. Danny had amazing knowledge around the the Northern lights and took us to an amazing spot. He also took the most beautiful photos of us with the Aurora! One of the highlights of my Iceland trip and would definitely book with Danny again when I come back to Iceland

  I travelled to Iceland with my 80 years young mom for a bucket list trip. We had the most incredible experience exploring Iceland with Danny as our guide. Ice caves, waterfalls, and chasing the Northern Lights — it felt like the ultimate Iceland adventure from start to finish. Danny somehow managed to be the perfect mix of knowledgeable, hilarious, and endlessly patient. His storytelling about Iceland’s landscapes, geology and folklore (watch out for grumpy little elves) made every stop even more fascinating. And the photography… next level. He captured photos we never could have taken on our own. Aurora hunting with him was an adventure in itself — lots of laughs, a little suspense, and the excitement of chasing something magical across the Icelandic night sky. What really stood out was how thoughtful and patient he was with my mom — making sure she was comfortable at every stop and never rushed. It meant so much to be able to experience such incredible places together knowing we were in his very capable hands. If you get the chance to tour with Danny, do it. Amazing guide, great sense of humor, and someone who truly loves sharing Iceland. The kind of experience you’ll be talking about long after the trip ends.   We have an amazing experience with Danny, he didn’t give up even when the clouds came all over the sky, he managed to find a clear spot and we end up having an amazing aurora show. Even the hot chocolate he gave us was delicious. Amazing aurora hunt.

Our first night in Iceland with Danny’s private Aurora Hunt was nothing short of jaw dropping amazement – a whirlwind of heart-pounding excitement, last-second miracles, and the most breathtaking Northern Lights show I’ve ever witnessed! From the moment he texted us mid-dinner (yes, WHILE we were staring down a menu of whale, puffin, or horse – I bolted for the exit faster than you can say “aurora alert!”), Danny turned our “cancelled” night into the adventure of a lifetime. “Meet back at the hotel– the data has CHANGED!” – those words were our golden ticket! We raced to Ölfus in his epic Superdefender, hearts racing, and BOOM – the sky erupted! Waves of electric green curtains danced like living silk, swirling with pinks, purples, and finally exploding into a white blossom overhead, petals of light unfurling like a cosmic flower in the dead of night. He knew exactly where to go for the best (and private) views. It was ethereal, otherworldly, the kind of beauty that stops time and fills your soul! Over two hours, the auroras shifted and shimmered relentlessly, and Danny captured photos early on with his pro gear – photos and videos we’ll treasure forever. Then we just let our eyes adjust and enjoyed nature’s show. Danny was prepared with hot chocolate when we were frozen too! He is a wonderful, kind, compassionate, funny, caring soul who truly cares about your personalized experience. No comparison to a bus tour where you’re stuffed in with dozens of people who cause light pollution and kill the vibe of serenity. But Danny? He’s not just a guide – he’s a legend, a wizard of the skies! His high-tech forecasts, insider spots away from crowds, and infectious passion made it all feel personal and electric. Even in brutal, ice-coated cold (no snow on ground, but temps that bite!), our layers held up, and our son was climbing the Defender like a champ for pics. Danny’s quick thinking, warmth, humor, and sheer expertise delivered a lifetime dream. We didn’t just see the lights – we LIVED them!   Even though we didn’t end up seeing the Northern Lights, Danny was great! From the start, Danny was absolutely amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely committed to giving us the best possible chance to see the aurora. Due to unavoidable circumstances (car problems and then the weather), the tour had to be rescheduled twice. Each time, Danny communicated clearly and handled everything professionally, always prioritizing the likelihood of a successful viewing. He even delayed his own family vacation so he could still take us out after the reschedules, which really speaks to how much he cares about his guests and their experience. On the night we finally went out, the skies were clear, but the lights just didn’t cooperate. Still, it was not for lack of effort. Danny drove around for over three hours, checking multiple locations and doing everything possible to try to find activity. When it became clear it wasn’t going to happen, he immediately honored the policy stated on his website and gave us a full refund, no questions asked. What truly stood out was everything after that. Since he was heading out on a family vacation and couldn’t take us again before we left Iceland, he went out of his way to recommend other reputable tour companies so we’d still have a chance. And incredibly, he even texted us during his vacation the following night to check in and see if we managed to catch the lights when they appeared (we did!). Of course, we were disappointed not to see the aurora with Danny, but I know without a doubt that it wasn’t because he didn’t try. His integrity, effort, and kindness were exceptional, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience. If you’re considering an aurora tour, I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Danny. The next time we are in Iceland, we will do it again! Even if nature doesn’t cooperate, you’ll be in excellent hands!!

  We took a trip with Danny that was originally planned as a three-day tour, and we ended up extending one more night just to continue our aurora hunt — and we’re so glad we did. Danny was incredibly informative and genuinely fun to travel with. He knows the areas we visited very well and answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. He was thoughtful, accommodating, and took many great photos for us throughout the trip, which we truly appreciated. During the aurora hunts, he brought us to several excellent viewing spots where we were able to see the auroras clearly. He never rushed the experience and was more than willing to wait with us for the lights to appear, keeping the mood relaxed and positive the whole time. Without a doubt, this was one of the best travel experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended.

  We had a fantastic experience on this aurora tour. Danny is super passionate and knowledgeable, and you can really tell he loves what he does. He uses aurora and weather data really well to decide where to go and when, which gave us the best possible chance to see the northern lights. He was also very flexible and accommodating throughout the night. We made a fairly last-minute change of plans, and he was able to adjust everything smoothly based on the conditions and what worked best for us. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable experience, and I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great aurora hunt.
