Monika was a great guide. Very friendly and we had a small group which was even better. This tour is on the longer side but didn’t feel like it. Strudel stop was great.

Our local tour guide met us at our hotel. She was warm and friendly and shared a ton of rich history of Budapest. We were able to be flexible and since we had visited the Buda castle region the day before, she took us to the Jewish section and gave us a detailed and sobering tour of what had happened in Hungary. We walked away from this to tour feeling that we really got to know Budapest and its rich history in a very short time. The strudel stop was a sweet highlight! I was a little wary of the cabbage strudel recommendation, but it was delicious!! Trust the locals, right? The tour was well worth the money, book it in advance!

Having a private tour with guide meant we could customise the tour to discuss subjects of interest to us. Rebecca our guide was knowledgeable and interesting and provided personal glimpses into Hungarian culture and lifestyle. I would highly recommend this tour.

Monika was an amazing tour guide and brought Budapest and its history to life. The monuments and squares were amazing with plenty of time to take pictures.

I had Andy/Andrea as a guide. She was fantastic. Very knowledgeable guide with a professional approach. Next time I come back to Budapest, I'll get back to her. The coffee stop was also very nice. Lots of different tasty strudels and good tea.

Eszter met us in the hotel lobby to start the tour, and was very personable and spoke English very well. On our way to the train to where the tour would start (and throughout the rest of the tour), she was full of information and personal anecdotes about the city's history and her personal experience there over the years. She clearly paid attention to what we were interested in hearing about or not, our comfort with the weather (it was very cold), and the coffee shop stop in the middle was superb (and especially welcome with the weather). Also, at the end of the tour we told her what else we had coming up and she gave us advice about restaurants and other helpful information (for example, she pointed out where the entrance to the Parliament tour is, which probably ended up being a life-saver for us getting to the tour on time).

We had a very good experience. Our guide, Andrea, was nice and super prepared and we were able to get the best of the city while learning a lot about history of Hungary

We did the Budapest tour yesterday, nothing fancy, the guide randomly showed us only some attractions of Pest, without a precise itinerary. Fortunately today we had free time and with map in hand we did a complete tour ourselves!
