The Cabot Trail Discovery Tour explores Nova Scotia’s most iconic road trip. From the rugged coastlines and majestic mountains to the charming small fishing villages, this tour provides breathtaking viewpoints, endless photo opportunities, and local culinary experiences.
We follow the coastline as we climb and descend mountains and traverse the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Picturesque examples of typical Nova Scotian fishing villages dot the Cabot Trail’s winding roads. Hear the crash of the ocean against the craggy stone shorelines, feel the sand between your toes, and smell the salt air at the many coastal stops along the 300-kilometre journey.

Jerry was an excellent host and driver. This was a shore excursion, so we did a modified Cabot Trail tour. We had some great coastal views, beautiful fall color, and very interesting conversations about the area. We took a 90 minute ferry and had a well priced lobster roll from a quaint cafe. Jerry made a stop at a local store so we could get some supplies. Thanks, Jerry and Misty for a great day out.

We booked the private Cabot Trail Tour to experience as much of nature as possible and to make individual stops. The weather played along and wiur had with John a very dedicated guide who explained to us the nature and life in on Cape Breton Island very vividly. The available time was very well used, John responded to our wishes and offered spontaneous stops to take pictures. It was only a quite long drive, if you had the opportunity to plan a small hike, that would be even better. I can fully recommend a private tour.

We had a great tour with 8 other people from our cruise. Frank was an excellent guide and told us about the history and present of Cape Breton. The Cabot Trail offers so wonderful and awesome views, unbelievable! Absolutely recommended tour!

The company was wonderful to work with. Very responsive and flexible. Getting a guide makes the Trail so much more interesting. Our guide Frank was fantastic. He provided a tour through a local’s eyes and had had such a great sense of humor! We loved him!

Oh what a wonderful day! Brian was our tour guide and he was just a joy. We learned so much about the history of the island, we saw waterfalls and eagles, had lunch at an incredible restaurant (no tour busses allowed, thank goodness!), saw so many beautiful scenic overlooks that we lost count, and took a zillon pictures. This tour only covers a TINY bit of the Cabot Trail and it will make you want to come back and spend a week here to see it all!

This was a great private tour, with someone who knew the area, where to stop, what to see, and what to avoid. The many vistas of the Cabot Trail were worth the time and price - recommend highly!

He filled the day with stories and history as only a native could. In addition he managed to snag four tickets to the wonderful Ceilidh in Baddeck, a perfect ending to our visit to Cape Breton. We are grateful for his extra efforts!
