“Butts Up!” Says Damian, as the rushing fresh water takes you away. The forty-five-minute hike feels so little yet so exciting as you walk through the humid green forest. The smell of fresh air filling up your lungs and the feeling of the cool breeze touching your skin makes it a whole new adventure. “We are here!” exclaims Damian. That’s when you know the best is about to begin. Gearing up, positioning yourselves in your tube and preparing for approximately 1 hour and forty-five minutes of effortless adventure is quite astounding. Let’s leave the hard work to mother nature and let's have some fun.
Down you go, as the currents wash you away. Cold and dark is the new ambient as you enter the underworld of the Mayas. “Headlights on” orders Damian, as the daylight slowly fades away. Resting in your tube while flashing the glittery walls of the cave is mesmerizing and adds a sense of relaxation to one’s mood.

5.00Our guide Eddie took us on fun day trip through the caves. He took his time explaining the significance of the caves to the Maya. Eddie put us in at a different location from where the big groups pit in so we felt as if we had a different tour than most. Great guide you will want to do this trip

5.00My family of 4 - (2 kids: 6,9) had an incredible tour. Damian was a font of knowledge on Mayan culture and taught and showed us so much! This was our number one favorite event! So privileged to be able to experience it the magic of this tour.

5.00I can not say enough good things about this tour company. Our resort hired this company to pick us up from the airport and to transport us to Hopkins at the end of our stay with a cave tubing adventure en route. Our guide was Damien both times and he is a really good man. We felt very safe with his driving, he was funny and informative and felt like a friend. The thing that impressed me most was that our resort hired Damien to take us cave tubing en route at a location along the shortest path to Hopkins, but Damien insisted on taking us to another location that he felt had much better cave tubing. We did not pay extra for this and I know that between the longer drive and the longer cave tubing experience, it was at least 2 extra hours of work for Damien. He genuinely just wanted us to have the best experience. Who does that?? We would definitely use this company again if we returned to Belize!!

5.00Damien was amazing! He worked his butt off in the caves themselves and he told us so many interesting things - both on the drive and once we got to the caves. We even got to park our tubes and then swim in the crystal clear water. After a remarkable experience in the caves, we ziplined and then went to lunch. I ordered what he ordered and it was delicious. The entire day was amazing and I cannot recommend this company enough - family owned and operated and the customer service? Outstanding. Don't hesitate - book these guys for your next trip!

5.00I was constantly impressed with Demian. He is from the area, knows the culture and the history, recognizes the plants as a farmer, and is naturally warm and friendly. Our tour with him was a phenomenal experience. I'd recommend it to anyone who's visiting the area.

5.00My husband and I spent a full week at the San Ignacio Resort doing day trips with Damien at Classic Maya Adventure Tours. Each day we had a new adventure — Xunantunich & Cahal Pech, ATM, Caracol, Tikal, cave tubing, Barton Creek and butterfly farm plus the zoo. He was excellent! It was important to find someone with whom we could literally share our vacation and Damien was perfect — informative, helpful, responsive, fun and accommodating. Our private tours gave us the flexibility to spend the time doing and seeing what we valued most in a relaxing and safe manner. I absolutely recommend this company.

5.00Damian was as wonderful as the river and the caves. He was super-knowledgeable about the geology, the flora, and fauna. He was so helpful with the kids too. The cave was a little scary at first but he took control of all the tubes and started teaching us about the river and limestone. The waterfall in the cave was incredible. I love CMA Tours and can't recommend them enough. 💯
