Let's plunge into the days of old and discover together how Cluj first appeared, from a small trade-post at the edge of the Roman Empire, all the way up to the emerging metropolis of today. I will guide you through the most iconic streets and the most important monuments and I will tell you the legends and stories behind each of them. Legends involving kings, princes, monks, commoners, stories of assassination, of justice and many more. You will understand the layout of the city centre and I will also show you the best places to have a cold beer or a good ice cream. Join me in this journey!
NB: The total duration of the tour includes the time it takes to go from one landmark to the other. The durations specified above refer to the time spent at each venue for explanations and photography.

What To Expect
A Gothic jewel, I will tell you the story of how it was built, from a small chapel outside the city walls to this magnificent edifice in the main square.
We will enter this majestic medieval church built in the late 15th century and admire the largest collection of coats of arms from this part of Europe. NB: Starting November 1st, the visiting time ends at 2 PM, from Monday to Friday. Any tour booked later than 1 PM will have to skip this entrance!

5.00I suddenly found myself in Cluj and of course, the first thing I wanted to do was a walking tour. Andrei was able to accommodate my schedule on relatively short notice and I am so glad that it worked out! Not only does he really know what he is talking about, he takes delight in his hometown and that shows in how excited he is to share it. He added lots of little interesting facts and tidbits and was able to answer all the questions I had for him - from history to contemporary time, from architecture to archeology, from religion to culture. It was a wonderful tour. I highly recommend!
