National Museum of Qatar

Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, the National Museum of Qatar draws inspiration from and recreates the naturally occurring crystal formations known as the desert rose. Built around Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani’s original palace, the seat of government for 25 years, the National Museum of Qatar gives voice to Qatar’s heritage whilst celebrating its future. Really wonderful. Our tour guide/driver Abood was extremely knowledgeable and super nice. Having grown up in Qatar, he was able to highlight his local favorite spots, and speak to the changes that Qatar has undergone since he was a kid. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Booked this tour for my husband’s birthday. Tour guide didn’t even arrive! We tried calling and messaging the operator. Even our hotel tried calling for us. Even Viator tried to call for us! No answer. Already 30 min past our tour start time. Nothing. Eventually 40 min later we get a message from tour operator that car broke down insisting they are coming to fetch us. At this point our hotel already booked us a new city tour and were on our way with our new guide organized through the Chedi Katara. We had to move my husband’s surprise birthday dinner reservations. Our whole evening was messed up. Such an unprofessional company! I would highly recommend to stay away. If you had car trouble why not send your guest a message saying sorry we are running late? We are all human and can understand but to not answer several calls and say nothing was unprofessional.

A quick way to see some of the main highlights of Doha with a private car. We drove around though the different areas to get a glimpse of each district and neighbourhood and went into the blue mosque and visited the large mosque as well. Because of our time constraints we booked the short tour due to which there is not much time to walk around each area but still enough to get the experience and take some pictures.
