Welcome to Roof of the World! In this activity you will climb the Via Ferrata Roof of the World.
It is considered the highest via Ferrata in Portugal (not the hardest).
This event includes all Via Ferrata and security equipment and expert monitors in the activity who will help throughout the event.
Initially we will give a briefing where we will explain all the safety and event rules.
Climbing or via ferrata experience is not mandatory.
Not recommended for people with vertigo or poor mobility. Minimum age to practice: 14 years

Ascent to the highest Via Ferrata in Portugal (accessible to anyone without vertigo), perhaps the most beautiful Via Ferrata to visit in Portugal. Natural). The landscapes are breathtaking and we can see all of Barroso from up there including the entire Alto Rabagão dam and Larouco.

5.00We made the ferrata in a group of 6 people and it was simply spectacular! The route is challenging q.b., it is very good for beginners, with amazing views and adrenaline, but always with total safety. Our guide, Hélder, was impeccable — super attentive, entertaining and made everyone feel comfortable from start to finish. We 100% recommend this experience with Ceita Montalegre to those looking for a different adventure and a day full of good energies. Without a doubt, an activity that we want to repeat!

5.00Super recomendo. Via Ferrata. I was surprised by the positive. Super capable guide, super prepared, which also gives us a historical/informative base of the place and surroundings. Excellent quality sports equipment - with all safety. I will repeat and recommend to those who want to challenge themselves to get out of their comfort zone in the middle of nature.

5.00Helder and his team provided a highly enjoyable experience for myself and my 19 year old twin children. They were well equipped, gave 1st class instruction and ensured the whole via ferrata climb was alot of fun but more importantly very safe! It is a very beautiful location and the highest in Portugal. Their communication (in English) was excellent and managed to involve us in the day's programme at short notice. We hope to return to enjoy to enjoy CEITA's other activities!
