We had an outstanding personalised full-day tour of Accra with Vince and cannot recommend him highly enough! Although we chose one of his advertised tours as a starting point, Vince happily personalised the itinerary to suit us — swapping the du Bois Centre for a Jamestown tour at our request. The flexibility was hugely appreciated and set the tone for a day that felt completely tailored to us. Transport was in small mini bus with a dedicated driver, which we had sole use of all day. We were staying outside the central Accra area and Vince arranged pick-up from there for an additional fee, which made logistics very simple for us. Vince was impressively well-organised, coordinating seamlessly with the driver who appeared and disappeared exactly when needed — we were never left waiting. Vince himself is an enterprising, articulate graduate with excellent English. He’s friendly, personable, and genuinely good company — the kind of guide who enhances your experience simply by being there. When we started to tire in the morning, he even diverted us to a lovely coffee shop, which was a thoughtful and very welcome touch. At key sites such as the National Museum, Jamestown, and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and museum, Vince arranged for specialist guides to provide deeper insight. This added real value and showed his commitment to giving guests the best possible experience. A particular highlight was our late lunch at Roots Restaurant set in a beautiful location and serving the best food we had during our time in Ghana! (There is a generous discount included in the tour price.) The day was very well-paced throughout. We especially appreciated Vince’s recommendation to drive through Makola Market rather than walk through it — we got a vivid sense of the atmosphere without becoming overwhelmed. One of the aspects of the day we most valued was Vince’s willingness to share about his own background and rural childhood – these personal insights brought Ghana to life in a way no guidebook ever could. I will absolutely seek Vince out again if I return to Ghana. I recommend him wholeheartedly to other travellers, including solo female travellers. I was travelling with family on this occasion but I will seek him out if I return on my own because I felt respected and safe with him. Wishing Vince every success in building his tour-guiding business — he truly deserves it.

Our visit to Shai Hills was one of the highlights of our trip to Ghana, and Vince made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and historical significance of the area, which added real depth to the tour. Everything was well organized and never felt rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery and wildlife while actually understanding what we were seeing.
