• Fell in love with Tokyo because of what we experienced by our tour guide Miko

  If you had a higher number than 5 I would definitely give Miko from Hello Tokyo tours a ten. We ordered a private tour because I have Mobility issues. I use a scooter. MIko spent time before we even met to find accessible areas I could get to, even where there was bathrooms I could use. She listened to my requests to go shopping for souvenirs and see art and crafts made in Tokyo. She organized lunch with Geisha, which was so interesting to try the beautiful looking good with texture and to experience the Geisha letting is ask questions and she asked a lot about where we were from, she then danced for us as well. a tour in China town and I got to have my fortune read and it was accessible to get into the reading and Miko interpreted everything. Felt so comfortable with her and she was so kind. We shopped a bit and she even took some great photos for me as well. We did have a issue with the vehicle the company hired when they picked me up. It had stairs to get into. MIko said she would fix it and she did. We ended up with a vehicle with a lift so i was able to get in. Nice that she can fix an issue that came up. On our second day of tour she arrived early hired a taxi that could spend the whole day with us and had the room for my scooter. We went to an incredible park with groomed trees like bonsai. She showed us Japanese candy and explained the texture.. Miko also told us about how the grooming a bonsai and how the park is enjoyed by people to relax and take in fresh air and look at the beauty of shaped trees and the tea houses in the park. After that, we went downtown to the oldest shopping store and she explained all about it from the 1400s and how their goal was to always be sincere. It was a beautiful store and the basement was a hidden treasure of so much food and takeout and chocolates and cookies so interesting and she found me a bathroom very easily. She knew where everything was.. then we went to the underground station to see Art. The next spot was a kimono store with the most expensive kimonos that it would cost just as much as a car.. after that we went to the jewellery district and found a deal on some pearls that were good quality. Then we went for a tea ceremony that was fascinating.. It was a delicate process, even down to Cleaning, the utensils and the bowl and the mixing of the hot water with the Matcha tea with the whisk to foam it up and get it creamy and about the time it takes to get you to relax to enjoy the perfect tea very ceremonial and respectful have to say it was a real learning experience. I fell in love with Tokyo and I think it's mainly because of Miko. She's a very kind person and very knowledgable and able to interact with everyone even when we were walking by a woman that was dressed in a kimono She asked her kindly if we could get our pictures taken with her and she did it was lovely.   We did a family tour of Tokyo with Keiko and it was superb. Keiko is a brilliant guide, exceptionally knowledgeable and a really lovely person. Her English is also excellent. Thank you Keiko!

  We had an exceptional experience with Hello Tokyo Tours, and a huge part of that was our wonderful guide, Keiko. From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely comfortable, welcome, and at ease. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and patient, especially with our daughter, which immediately set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable day. Keiko shared her knowledge of the culture  in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. She was thoughtful in adjusting the pace based on our energy level, which we truly appreciated since our legs were still sore from Tokyo Disney the day before. Thanks to her planning and local expertise, we were able to see all the major sights efficiently and comfortably, without unnecessary walking or stress. What stood out most was how well Keiko balanced cultural experiences with our daughter’s interests, incorporating anime highlights and a visit to the capybara café seamlessly into the day. She made sure everyone felt included and genuinely excited at each stop. From the booking process through the end of the tour, ( and even after with a follow up of other recommendations!) Hello Tokyo Tours provided top-notch service, but Keiko truly made the experience special. She didn’t just guide us through Tokyo—she made us feel cared for. We couldn’t recommend Keiko and Hello Tokyo Tours more highly, especially for families looking for a personalized, thoughtful, and memorable experience in Tokyo. The Lees

  Miko was an absolute joy to spend 2 days touring Tokyo with. She is very knowledgeable and adjust her style perfectly to accommodate the group she is with. We were a group of 7 with 2 very active kids. She was perfect for us and kept the kids very engaged the entire time. Whether it was special cotton candy or an arcade, Miko found creative ways to keep us all entertained. We would highly recommend her as a guide in Tokyo. Thank you Miko!!!!

  The Hello! Tokyo Tours team was very helpful and flexible while customizing our 6 hour Tokyo tour. They created a realistic itinerary focused on all of our highest priority destinations in Shinjuku, the Imperial Palace and Asakusa, plus an additional service dropping us off at Hotel Disneyland at the end of our tour. Our guide Miko was very friendly, patient, flexible, knowledgeable and professional. She maintained a comfortable pace, explained the historic context of each stop (came prepared with a photo book) answered all questions, helped with fortune sticks at Sensoji temple, and took family photos at each location. After my daughter expressed interest in Japanese treats, Miko included unplanned stops in Nihonbashi to enjoy onigiri, dashi and mochi at small family shops dating back to 1600 - 1700s. We also enjoyed Japanese treats from street vendors in front of Sensoji temple. The driver was very friendly, professional and patient. He managed difficult drop-offs in front of the Imperial Palace East Garden and bridge. He even recommended visiting historic Nihonbashi Bridge during our unplanned stops. I don't recall ever having a tour driver make itinerary suggestions. I highly recommend Hello! Tokyo Tours to anyone wanting to maximize their stay in Tokyo.

  We had a wonderful half day tour with Yasu. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and showed us around in a pleasant, easygoing way. He gave us historical facts and interesting insights into Japanese life. Our driver was very capable and the vehicle was comfortable and air-conditioned - a welcome respite in the heat. We would highly recommend Yasu and Hello! Tokyo tours.

  We wanted to get away from the crowds and discover some of the less beaten paths of Tokyo, like Nezu Shrine, Yanaka, Gokokuji Temple, Kagurazaka and the Kyu Shiba Rikyu Garden. The trip was absolutely great with Miko San as our guide and Nonaka San as our driver. Both are super professional and friendly. They both speak English, so we had no problems in understanding each other. We had expressed the wish to eat soba at a genuine local restaurant and we were not disappointed. We spent 6 hours together that just flew by with lots of fun, interesting conversations and lots of learning about Japanese history and culture. Next time we’re in Tokyo we will book this dream team again to explore new areas.
