This was the best day of our trip! We had a group of 5 and booked very last minute. Matt was so educated on every topic imaginable. He drove us to Stonehenge and then to Lacock and Castle Combe. He answered any any every question we had, and was patient with our group. Extremely worth the price and will be booking again when we come back!

The tour was incredible! Our guide Matthias was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, entertaining, personable, and his voice is narrator quality. The car is super comfortable, and the time flies. You’ll not find a better guide or a better experience. I’ve used many private guides all over the world and this experience was right at the top.

Amazing tour with a terrific guide! Matt was extremely knowledgeable, very interesting and had a great sense of humor, all of which made for an outstanding experience. He took the time to learn about our interests and customized the day to ensure we got the most out of the tour. Also, he was very personable and a very natural conversationist. We have had a number of very knowledgeable tour guides in the past but not always the best when it comes to engaging in conversation throughout the entire tour. He also gave us a number of terrific recommendations for places to see, things to do and great restaurants to enjoy after our tour with him.

What a fantastic day! Matt was such a plethora of knowledge about Stonehenge and Salisbury and connected both to English history. Visiting these two locations alone would have been a mistake for us. The richness of the tour with Matt (including picking a great lunch spot in Salisbury) was so worth it! Kudos to Matt and Galahad Tours - hope we get to meet again!

My mother and I enjoyed our time with Matt on a guided tour of both Stonehenge and Salisbury from Bath. Matt was particularly thoughtful about designing the tour based on our personal interests after taking the time to listen to what we were curious about. He was particularly well-versed on Stonehenge and provided a great overview at the centre before the experience of walking around the stones themselves. In Salisbury, he picked a beautiful and interesting historical pub to eat lunch at before a short tour of the cathedral. We enjoyed the stroll around Salisbury with a quick peek inside St Thomas's Church to see the medieval Doom Painting. We peppered Matt with a myriad of questions about English culture, history, society, education, healthcare, architecture and politics. He's a great conversationalist and we learned quite a bit. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Matt and will remember it always. Thank you, Matt!

Matthias made sure we saw everything we wanted and then more. His knowledge of the history and pop culture around Stonehenge alone was incredible. But he also knew how to time our visit so we avoided the crowds. Very congenial and friendly. Enjoyed learning about Salisbury beyond just the cathedral. Highly, highly recommend!

This was by far one of the best private tours we have ever taken, and we took quite a few, in different countries. You can't go wrong booking Matthias of Galahad Tours for any trip. He planned our day perfectly! Because it was the solstice, Matthias switched the order of where we would go that day, so we avoid the crowds, and it was just right. He knows a lot of history and shared it in a fun and fascinating way, in both Salisbury and Stonehenge. He reserved a table for lunch in a pub that has been in operation for hundreds of years, a true treat. He is also a super fun person to be around and talk with, and made the day amazing for both of us. We can't recommend him enough, and will certainly schedule him again when we return to the area.

If you are looking to learn more about England's history, it's historical sights, or enjoy the countryside and cities, Mathias Kurth can offer you all of this and more. Mathias is a very knowledgeable, competent guide with an abundance of expertise. He has a wonderful personality that makes you feel welcome and is always eager to please. He wants you to love his country as much as he does. Mathias's tours are exceptional. The three tours we took were invaluable as we learned so much more about England than we would have otherwise.
