Pidurangala is a massive rock formation located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka. It has an interesting history closely related to that of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climbing to the top of Pidurangala Rock is more strenuous than climbing Sigiriya. If you are fit and adventurous it is a climb worth making. It will take you about two hours. There is far less to see on this site than Sigiriya

This site is situated 148 kilometres east of Colombo and 72 kilometres north of Kandy. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Sigiriya Lion Rock
Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.

5.00We had a very pleasant and nice driver Lal. He was very kind, took us to places agreed on the itinerary and offered useful guidance. Many tours have very pushy drivers who want to take you to tourist traps, but Lal was not like that which we highly appreciated. I really recommend this experience as it was reliable and full of once in a lifetime sights.

5.00Communication from the team was very professional and kept me updated on everything i needed to know leading up to the day. Big thanks especially to my driver for the day Fazeel who went above and beyond for me that i ended up booking another day with him to explore more of what sri lanka had to offer around Kandy all the way to Nuwara Eliya. Just remember that at each site you go to is not a guided tour from your driver but along the way, they provide some good history of the country. I prefer this anyways, i can do my own thing but there are some guides at the gates if you prefer for Sigiriya and Dambulla. Just remember to have long pants and cover your shoulders at Dambulla. Also you can rent a sarong at the very top of Dambulla, don’t get fooled into buying one while walking up towards the temple. Highly recommend this company. Thanks legends :)

5.00On the tour we first visited Pidurangala Rock, then Sigiriya Rock and finally the Dambulla Cave Temple. The driver Fazeel took very good care of everything and gave us a lot of interesting information.

5.00Fazeel was the best guide and showed us so many things along our journey - he also showed us great spots to stop for juice and coconuts on the way too! The tour was excellent and it was great to get to know Fazeel and learn more about Sri Lanka, I would absolutely recommend him and this tour to anyone!
