We will remember this 6 days safari forever. Everything worked amazingly. The whole experience was perfect and carefully planned by the team. Davis was always clear and responsive during the planning stage. Manfredi was the Best Guide Ever. He loves the safari as another excited guest, with an incredible amount of knowledge to share. He knows every animal, every plant and every region, and is always ready to tell amazing stories about the beautiful Tanzanian wonders. He really made the difference and we will be always greatful to have his as our guide. Zacaio joined us for the Kilimanjaro hike, with a positive and friendly attitude that made the experience so enjoyable. We highly recommend King Mufasa for your safari.

A day trip to Mount Kilimanjaro was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to sample Africa’s highest peak without committing to a full multi-day climb. From the moment we entered the park, the scenery was breathtaking—lush rainforest, towering trees, and the sounds of birds and monkeys all around us. The hike itself was well paced and manageable, making it suitable even for beginners with a reasonable fitness level. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing insights about the mountain’s ecosystems, local culture, and wildlife along the way. Reaching the day’s turnaround point felt incredibly rewarding, with stunning views and a real sense of accomplishment standing on the slopes of such an iconic mountain. Even though it’s just a day trip, the experience truly captures the magic of Kilimanjaro—the fresh mountain air, dramatic landscapes, and the quiet awe of being so close to the summit. If you’re short on time or not ready for a full ascent, this day hike is a fantastic option and well worth it.

We had an excellent day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route. Our guide, Zakayo, was extremely knowledgeable about the mountain and the route itself. He explained the local plants and birds in great detail and generously gave us time to stop, observe, and take photos of the vegetation along the way. His guidance was clear, informative, and very supportive all the way to Mandara Point. Zakayo was helpful, patient, and attentive throughout the hike, which made the experience both enjoyable and educational. Our pickup and drop-off driver, Brian, was also excellent. He picked us up from Malkia Tree Lodge exactly at the time he promised and ensured smooth and comfortable transportation. Overall, this was a very well-organized and memorable Kilimanjaro day hike. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing day and an excellent guide. Zakayo was our mountain guide, and he could not have been more patient, supportive, or accommodating. We were given a special pickup time and location, which was arranged without any problem. Our driver, Brian, was very friendly, and both Brian and Zakayo were communicative in a calm and professional way. Once we arrived at the park, Zakayo took care of all the arrangements, and we started the hike smoothly. We are not regular hikers and not in the best physical shape, but that was never an issue. With his pole pole (slow, slow) approach, we moved comfortably, stopping often to rest. During these breaks, he shared his deep knowledge about the plants and animals around us, which made the hike even more interesting. We reached the lunch spot where a proper setup was prepared, complete with a tablecloth and delicious food. After lunch, we headed back, and along the way Zakayo stopped us several times to point out monkeys we would have completely missed without his sharp eye. It was truly a great day, and I would recommend Zakayo without hesitation.

Our day hike up Mount Kilimanjaro was one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, John. As a couple, we were looking for an adventure that would push us to our limits but still be enjoyable and memorable, and this hike was exactly that. From the moment we met John, we felt completely at ease. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure to check in with us throughout the hike, making sure we were comfortable and staying hydrated. His positive energy was contagious, and we could tell he had a deep love and respect for the mountain. The hike itself was challenging but rewarding. We started early in the morning, and the air was crisp and fresh. John briefed us on the trail ahead, which we would be taking to reach Mandara Hut (at 2,700 meters). Along the way, the landscape changed dramatically, from lush rainforest with towering trees to more open, moss-covered areas. It was truly a stunning contrast in nature. John was a great guide, constantly sharing fascinating facts about the mountain, its ecosystem, and the history of the trek. We learned about the various plants, wildlife, and how the mountain itself has shaped the surrounding communities. The trek was scenic, and we took frequent stops to catch our breath and snap some photos. The best part? The sense of accomplishment as we reached Mandara Hut. It was such an amazing feeling standing at that elevation and looking out over the clouds. John made sure we were well-rested, and encouraged us to take in the stunning views and soak up the atmosphere.

We did a day hike to Mandara Point with my friends and it was a really nice experience. The hike was enjoyable and the views were beautiful. Our guide, Lazaro, was very good friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We also had the chance to try the Chagga tribe’s traditional beer, Mbege, and it was nice and unique. Overall, it was a great day and a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
