This tour was amazing and my guide, Stewart was exceptional. Stewart met me at my hotel and right away was willing to adjust my itinerary to visit both Dumbarton Castle and Stirling Castle to better match my interests. I highly recommend booking this tour and guide!

Stewart was amazing. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. He personalized my 4 days of touring to maximize my time and experience. He showed me Scotland's history and beauty. This was far better than any of those large group tours out there. Through conversation he learned what I liked and made sure to incorporate it into the day. His recommendation of the Spinnaker Hotel was spot on. Clean comfortable and with amazing food. I recommend Tartan Tours to anyone looking to explore Scotland. Stewart will make you feel right at home!

Stewart Gunn is an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We could only do a one-day tour, would have been nice to expand that to 2 or 3 days. Stewart took us to about five sites that were key in the history of William Wallace from 1290 to 1305. Really can't say enough about this tour, it was just what we wanted. Stewart picked us (2 people) from our hotel in Glasgow and off we went. He also suggested dropping us at Stirling Station, since our next night would be in Edinburgh. That worked out great.

Stewart had a wealth of knowledge when it came to William Wallace and the history around the battle at Stirling Bridge. He knew I was an outlander fan and was able to tie back a lot of Scotland’s history to the show as well. We even got to squeeze in a last minute visit to mid hope castle! Stewart was very accommodating and had great energy!

I have been in contact with Stewart from TT for a while so that he could tailor a very special 16th birthday tour for my daughter, who is a massive William Wallace fan. Stewart created 2 personalised options for us- 1 full day tour or a 2 day tour with an overnight stay. As this was for our daughter's 16th we opted for the 2 day tour - and we are so glad we did! Nothing was too much trouble for Stewart, he picked us up in his lovely car and was very welcoming and friendly and we chatted all the way to our first stop- Scone Palace. Stewart was very informative and very knowledgeable on all of the areas we visited. He answered any questions that we asked and we had a great laugh together. My daughter is very shy and quiet but she felt at great ease throughout the whole weekend thanks to Stewart. He even booked us into a lovely little hotel overlooking The Cylde, the views were stunning and when we were having our evening meal Stewart arranged for a bottle of prosecco to be brought to our table - a lovely gesture. After our meal Stewart came back in the evening and took us on a little bonus witchcraft tour which we all found fascinating! We didn't think day 2 could top our first day but it was even better! After a few WW stops we continued onto Bannockburn which took all of our breaths away, such an amazing place, then onto several other WW places ending with the WW Monunent - which is spectacular in itself. Stewart even presented my daughter with a lovely and thoughtful gift for her 16th, a real piece of the tree that WW was chained around all those years ago! How absolutely amazing that he gifted this to her, she is over the moon. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt Stewart went at a great pace, we didn't feel too rushed or that time dragged etc, everything was just perfect and we are already looking at The Outlander Tour for my daughters next birthday!
