Cajon del Maipo
The Maipo Canyon is an Andean canyon located in the southeastern part of the Metropolitan Region of Chile. It corresponds to the upper basin of the Maipo River (around 900 m above sea level), where it is enclosed by hills, cliffs, and massifs. The area also has several confluences, such as the Volcán, Yeso, and Colorado rivers, and other estuaries such as the San Gabriel, Manzanito, Coyanco, Sauce, Manzano, and San José. The main town is San José de Maipo, capital of the commune of the same name, which encompasses most of the mountainous sector of the Metropolitan Region.

5.00We had a great day with our guide Boris! El Yeso was a beautiful spot to see in the mountains, definitely worth the trip! We also stopped at a cafe, chocolate house and local market. I would recommend this tour!

5.00We had great experience visiting the reservoir. Our Guide Polina and Driver Ricardo were very engaging and made sure we are very comfortable and well informed through out the tour. They didnt rush us and were very knowledgeable of the soroundings.

2.00Whilst the actual destination was lovely, we were disappointed with the guide. The driver was good. We found the driver hard to understand, and not as knowledgeable as we expected. We also were annoyed that more time was on YouTube on irrelevant topics. Not happy considering the amount we paid. Also it was lunch NOT included. However we stopped at a place where only buffet or menu - we would have preferred just snacks of light meals.

5.00Had a great tour with Oskar! His English is excellent and provides commentary in a really fun and informative way. He has traveled the world, so he can provide some unique insights. The visual and whispers of the Andes Mountains were absolutely stunning. It was if these mountains were alive. I didn't even care that it was freezing that day. Enjoyed a fantastic cup of coffee while taking all of this in.
