Salzwelten Hallstatt
Beginning in June 2019, Hallstatt salt mine offers exclusive guided tours. Led by a private guide, guests will explore the secrets of the world’s oldest salt mine. VIPs will be greeted at the reserved parking area by a specially trained guide and will then travel together up to the high valley. The content of the tour is tailored to the special wishes and interests of customers: including the Skywalk World Heritage View skywalk, the grave fields, prehistoric mine, mining technology, subterranean salt lake and the miners’ slides. The salt mine tour is optional. Our tour guide will bring you to the salt mine.
Museum Hallstatt
The Hallstatt Museum is a museum in Hallstatt, Upper Austria, that has an unrivalled collection of discoveries from the local salt mines and from the cemeteries of Iron Age date near to the mines, which have made Hallstatt the type site for the important Hallstatt culture.

I have a great time, looking at the landscape, listening to the explanations and visiting the mine. However, it’s a little too short, I barely had the time to visit the mine and I had to skip the museum. It’s also very expensive for one person.
