National Museum of Qatar

The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) is a striking cultural landmark in Doha that offers an immersive journey through the nation’s rich history, heritage, and aspirations for the future. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, the museum’s architecture is inspired by the desert rose—a natural crystalline formation found in Qatar. The building comprises interlocking discs that create a dynamic and futuristic structure, symbolizing the fusion of tradition and modernity. At its heart lies the restored historic palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, serving as a bridge between Qatar’s past and present.

    We couldn't have had a better guide! Mr. Anas made our Private Doha City Tour a fantastic experience. Your kindness and professionalism are second to none. It was totally punctual and showed a great Capacity (in covers) to answer all our questions with a thorough knowledge, and we tested it 😁 Special mention to his recommendation: he suggested a restaurant for dinner that was wonderful, fish of the highest quality and at a very good price.     We had a wonderful experience with Dunescape on their city tour of Doha. The itinerary was well-planned, covering the highlights of the city such as Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art, Katara, and The Pearl. Our chauffeur was very knowledgeable, friendly, and shared interesting stories about Qatar’s culture and history throughout the tour. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and fully air-conditioned, which made the journey very relaxing. Everything was perfectly timed, giving us enough moments to explore, take photos, and enjoy the local atmosphere without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a memorable way to discover Doha. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Qatar!

    We had an amazing experience with this company. So much so we used them for a second excursion during our 4 day layover. The private and bespoke experience catered to our 2 small children in the Doha summer heat. Both vehicles used were excellent, clean , fully air-conditioned and comfortable. Both drivers were friendly and offered us great information on Doha and the desert.
