With this 9-hour full day tour you will cover the most famous sightseeing destinations for a day trip from Salzburg. You private tour will start with a drive through the picturesque 'Salzkammergut' region to Hallstatt, known as one of the most beautiful lake side villages of the world. After visiting the historical old town center of Hallstatt, your afternoon will be filled with WW II history locations. Highlight in the afternoon is the visit of Eagle's Nest (only from May to October: during the winter months, the tour might visit Rossfeld summit instead, to get a stunning view of the Bavarian Mountains and the Eagle's Nest). Next to the Eagle's Nest built by the Nazis of the German Reich, the Bavarian Alps are offering outstanding mountain sceneries.

Meet your local Guide at your hotel in Salzburg and hop on board your luxury touring vehicle.
Be ready for pickup at 09.00 am at your Salzburg hotel. Make yourself comfortable in your comfortable touring vehicle and experience the beautiful landscape that the famous ‘Salzkammergut’ lake region has to offer. After a short drive from Salzburg you’ll reach the castle of Fuschl. Capture a picture of the castle of Fuschl with the emerald-green Lake Fuschlsee as its backdrop, before heading on to St. Gilgen with Lake Wolfgang, the next photo stop.

5.00One of the most interesting activities we did. I hadn’t expected to see and learn all that we did. Loved Halstatt! The ruins of Hitlers home were fascinating. Something for everyone on this tour. Patrick was the best tour guide! So informative and anticipated our every want and need!

5.00This was hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever done, Patrick was our guide for the entire day. Picked up precisely on time and whisked up to the picture postcard town of Hallstatt, it was breathtaking! We had two hours to ourselves to wander around this gorgeous little place, Patrick had told us where to go and what to look out for, including the best spots to eat and get pictures from. We then took the most spectacular drive up to the eagles nest part of the tour. We arrived at the car park bit which we then got on a bus (with Patrick) to the unbelievable Eagles Nest, it is hard to describe just how incredible it is to see this place, Patrick had told us all the information about it, including a stop on the way up with another history lesson so we were well informed before we got there. Again we had a good 45 minutes up the top to ourselves for spectacular pictures and a look around. An incredibly long but well worth it day. The very best part was it was completely private, no following along with a crowd, just us and the fabulous Patrick. Do this tour!!!

5.00The one word I can think of that describes Patrick’s guided tour was incredible. His tour was detailed, informative and interesting mixed in with a nice sense of humour. Given that I am 83 years old, his attention to my physical limits was FAR more than I was expecting. Many thanks to Patrick for a wonderful experience. Cheers Paul and Tonya Bartlett.
