What To Expect
El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque is a magical almost holy land. The Tainos, the original Puerto rican natives, considered El Yunque to be the living area of Yocahu; their most powerful God. Once you enter the rainforest you understand why they thought that as the place is surreal and quite easily one of the most beautiful places on earth. Here we will hike, trek and swim thru pristine and completely untouched lands. This is not you typical touristy trip with a 100 other people there. This is El Yunque in all its wild and raw glory. Let me guide you around through the National Rainforest and get away from the crowds and the tourist traps. The places we visit during this hike include at least 3 private pools just for us and a special visit to the place I call "The Land of 1,000 Waterfalls". This tour is private, meaning that it will just be your group under the care of one of our expert guides.

1.00Complete scam. Do not waste your time and money. Our guide was late and picked us up in a damaged vehicle. We never saw any waterfalls at all. He took us to the park and drove around. Then took us on a trail a marine would love and waited for us to give up and ask to leave. Alex was so busy either on social media or trying to sell us stuff from social media that I was just happy to leave his presence altogether. I get people are trying to make money but this was a pure scam and waste of money and time.

5.00We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Brandon. We had so much fun even though we had some mobility issues. He took us to a part of El Yunque not visited by many tourists then off to a local beach for a little hike and swim. We stopped for lunch and had the most amazing Red Snapper! Brandon was an amazing local host!

4.00Overall a lovely tour of some parts of El Yunque that are not overcrowded with tourists. Sara was an excellent guide who was informative about local history, flora, and fauna. After taking us to look at some breathtaking vistas and a waterfall with a natural pool underneath where we could swim, she took us to a local barbecue restaurant. Only a couple of concerns here-- the company owner was difficult to get in touch with after an initial conversation. I wanted to talk to him both to confirm that he'd received information about where we were to be picked up and also to discuss what the tour would consist of. For example, we would have liked more hiking incorporated into the experience, and I had a recommendation for a restaurant that I would have liked to try.
