Private cruise to the best fjord near Bergen, the Modal Fjord. Experience Fjords and waterfalls, starting outside your hotel in Bergen.
We start watching Bergen from the seaside with the backdrop of the mountains. Enjoy a glass of champagne or a cup of coffee while cruising the fjords, where the scenery and atmosphere shifts from city, to pristine fjord landscape and waterfalls.
We get to the narrow remote fjords and villages with beautiful waterfalls, all year round. If it`s raining doesn`t matter, it makes the waterfalls more dramatic. We stop at a waterfall cascading down to the fjord, where you can have a waterfall-shower. We can dock in the village of Mo, where you can have lunch at the local cafe- and explore the village. Or have lunch onboard, enjoyed while cruising. Bring swimsuit if you like, and we stop for a swim near the waterfall, a once in a lifetime experience.
Times are flexible.
The evening cruise (6PM) will be faster, back around 11.

What To Expect
Bergen
We depart from Bergen city center, watching the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen from the seaside, with the beautiful backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city. Slowly cruising out the fjord, leaving the city behind. Start the cruise with a coffee or tea, and quiet atmosphere onboard our boat.
Passing the suburbs to Bergen on our way up the fjord, and we will reach this bridge where we pass under after about 1 hours cruising.

5.00A great day with Captain Tony on his boat, taking us from Bergen to the beautiful fjords. Tony served us good atmosphere from the first moment, and as we cruised up the fjord, he also added great view, mountains and many waterfalls. A great slow speed cruise, very relaxing. We had lunch in Modal at the cafe, with good food and great view to the nearest waterfall. No rush during our cruise, so we chose to be back in Bergen around 5:30. Positive: A great activity on a rainy day, the boat was perfect for this.

5.00This tour was the highlight of our time in Bergen! Captain Svein was kind and shared lots of information with us about the fjords and life in Bergen. He even let my father-in-law help steer the boat! The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed our time on the boat and in Mo. Despite the rainy weather, we were fortunate to see numerous waterfalls and rainbows!

5.00Taking this Fjord private cruise was a bit of a splurge on our trip to Noraway. There was just five of us on the boat so we felt ridiculously spoiled between the fresh strawberries, snacks, and libations. We throughly enjoyed our day on the water with our captain Svein who was friendly enough without being intrusive. We especially liked our visit to the small village of Mo. Beautiful!
