What To Expect
Basse-Terre Island
Your journey from Pointe-à-Pitre takes you through the lush countryside of the island of Basse-Terre to the rhum distillery, home of Guadeloupe’s famous rum. Enjoy a narrated sightseeing drive as your guide unfolds the history of Guadeloupe in a lively and interactive discussion. Upon arrival at the estate, you will be welcomed with sugar cane juice and pieces of sugar cane to snack on.
Capesterre-Belle-Eau
Take a step back in time and get a glimpse of how Guadeloupe was 300 years ago. Visit to a functional historical plantation where your guide will be given a tour. Discover what goes into the French island’s rum distilling process, followed by the opportunity to taste authentic rums and liqueurs.
