Fantastic day with a wonderful guide, experiencing life in Crete and so much about the island. We tasted home cooked treats and so much more. Well worth doing this tour!!

What a wonderful day touring ancient sites in Crete with Kostas! The Mercedes Benz van we had was spacious and incredibly comfortable. He made our journey incredibly special by allowing us to customize our day. At every site he gave us a ton of historical information and analysis of the information available to date about the sites. He also surprised us with home baked Cretian sweets at every stop baked by his super talented mother which were incredible. If you do one tour in Crete it should be this one!

Fun tour, knowledgeable and fun guide. Comfortable ride. Don’t climb to the cave unless you’re in good shape. Just ride a donkey. Amazing food all along the way, too.

This wasn't just a tour, this was an intellectual, engaging, and, most importantly, transformative experience that money couldn't possibly buy. We started the day with Kostas meeting us at our hotel with his luxurious van. Our first stop was Psychro. I made it to the cave and back by myself because Kostas assessed husband's knee condition and advised him, quite astutely, against going. I am still amazed that I completed the trek. Next we stopped at a gift shop because I had told Kostas that I wanted something to take home, but not just any tourist junk. I now have a statuette of the goddess Themis. We also watched Kostas demonstrate the usage and purpose of the Pythagorean cup. For lunch, we ate at a family-run restaurant called Seli Ambelou. The farm-fresh food is different from typical Greek fare. Needless to say, yummy as well. Then we drove through Krasio (we passed on the option of walking though) and saw the impressive 2400-year-old plane tree. Final stop was Malia Palace (we were given the choice of Knossos or Malia and we chose Malia for its authenticity). All along the way, Kostas inspired us with his extensive knowledge on myriad topics. Our takeaway from this tour is not just the memories and photos of the sites we visited, but also the invaluable information Kostas imparted on us that will be applicable to our lives.

One of the best guides we've ever had. Knowledgeable and informative; he asked us how much detail we wanted, and when we said a lot, he gave us a lot. He also gave us some homemade (by his mother) treats, a jar of honey, figs, and some other treats....definitely an above and beyond guide. Knossos was amazing, as was the cave of Zeus.

You could not ask for a better day out. The various stops during the day were well planned and highly interesting, but the best part of it all was Angie, our fantastic driver and guide. She is professional in all aspects, extremely knowledgeable about the history of Crete (and many other things!), but she is also funny, down to earth and very good company. When we return to Crete, we will ask for her personally to lead our next excursion. Thank you so much!

Excellent day with Angie as our guide. Very knowledgeable, funny, and easy to get along with. Met the other guide, Kostas, at lunch in a wonderful Taverna with stellar food. Everyone is so fun and the sights are great. 10/10.

We had a fabulous time with Kostas. Even if the weather was somewhat less than great he kept us both entertained and informed throughout the trip. In particular, his knowledge if the ancient world and desire to spark original thoughts really kept us on our toes! We loved the little extras Kostas brought to the trip - from a visit to an olive oil factory to the honey from his family. We can thoroughly recommend this trip!

We had a great day. If you don't want to go wrong and are looking for the best, Kostas is the one for you. The tour is shaped on your requests and in addition Kostas will propose you some additional special stops. Kostas is very punctual and helpful, an excellent driver and his van very comfortable. Very good with children. He will pamper you with produce from his parents' farm. You will judge if the price is adequate: in our opinion it is! Good luck Kostas.
