It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. 5.00I had a great tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The experience was very smooth, and I really appreciated all of the stories and information about these historic areas. Despite the hot weather, the morning tour was cool and very enjoyable.

5.00Vivek Sharma’s Doors 2 India tour of Agra and the Taj Majal was incredible! We were a group of 8 and they kept us together and safe — we were able to concentrate on the amazing sights around us. Much thanks to Ali and Vivek for the door-to-door full service tour— they thought of everything!

5.00Thank you doors2india for taking me to see what India is and how beautiful your place is. Although I couldn't enter the taj mahal due to its closing on fridays. I can still feel and see its beauty. Doors2India should be the choice for tourists. An organized, punctual trip & very wonderful tour guide. 5.00It was literally one of the best private tours I’ve ever had; well organized from getting picked up at the train station, the tour itself, and dropped off at the end. Train stations can be quite hectic and Vijay was waiting for me at the exit with a sign. Ali was the tour guide for Taj Mahal and Fort Agra. He was super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about these two sites. Even when I asked random historical questions, he knew the answers. I checked afterwards and he was totally correct each time! I would highly recommend this tour. I’ve lived several years in East Asia and Western Europe and have had a fair share of horrible or average tours, this one was top notch and a very good value too!

5.00We visited Agra with Faiz and Delhi with Manoranjan - both guides were very knowledgeable and provided a good mix of history, story-telling and small details which enhanced the experience. It was a seamless experience with both guides being very punctual. It was a pleasure dealing with Vijay as well - he was proactive in communicating with us as we had a complicated travel plan and a very short window for visiting Delhi and Agra. Apart from the monuments, we especially enjoyed the visit to the marble engraving workshop in Agra which provided a detailed view of the how the intricate marble inlay work is done by skilled artisans.
