It was constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivalling the Soma and the Caesarean. Then drive to visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch at local restaurant in Alexandria, then proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then, to Bibliotheca Alexandria. Finally you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.

Visit the Catacombs of Kom el Shokafa.its a roman Cemetery dates back to 3th century and it was discovered accidentally by a donkey in 1900A.D. it consists of 3 Levels the third one is Completely under water. Merge between the Egyptian history and Roman and Grek history Note : English tour is free but for other Languages ( Spanish..Italian.. French.. German.. Russian.. Cinese .or other languages will be an Extra charge.
Pompey's Pillar
. Visit pompy's pillar. It was constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletion . It's about 28 metres high.the highest pillar in Egypt.

5.00Our trip to Alexandria started early and we were able to see as much as we could. We visited all the important places. Hader was great! Sofy Egypt tours had everything planned out for us. The Alexandrian library was a unique experience and as a Greek I enjoyed it immensely!

5.00The day stared early so we have time to see all monuments and especially the Alexandria’s library , and even because the distance was long we had even time to eat and stop for coffee! Amazing travel agency , I recommend it without a doubt!!! Thank you sofy!!

5.00An absolutely fantastic experience — the feeling it creates is truly beyond words. Everything was perfectly organized, and the whole team, including our driver and guide, were exceptional. Our guide HADER, was amazing, explaining everything clearly and answering all our questions with patience and enthusiasm. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from start to finish. 5.00Alexandria was a nice addition to our trip! Among other things we visited the catacombs which was the highlight of this trip! It is a 3hour drive from Cairo but our driver was really nice and we felt safe all the way although the busy roads. Thank you Sofy tours for the great planning and for taking care of the little detailed for us!

5.00Good experience of Alexandria! We arrived at Cairo airport after 7am on 10/10/2024 and the driver was already waiting for us outside, which made our trip very convenient. Our tour guide gave a good introduction to us about history and attractions of Alexandria. I really like Alexandria, especially the Alexandria Library. The library is beautiful and large, and also includes four galleries, three museums and the planetarium science center... I hope I have chance to go back there to finish those museums and the planetarium science center.
