Wat Si Saket
Wat Si Saket, one of the oldest and most beautiful temples in Vientiane. Wat Si Saket is famous for its cloistered courtyard, lined with over 2,000 Buddha statues in different poses. Built in 1818, this Buddhist temple holds historical significance, as it survived the Siamese invasion in the 19th century. The structure showcases beautiful traditional Lao architecture with a distinctive Burmese-style roof and features elegant verandas, stupas, and a stunning library known as the Ho Trai. Inside the temple grounds, take time to admire the ancient artwork and peaceful surroundings. The temple is a symbol of the resilience of the Lao people, reflecting both their religious devotion and cultural preservation.

5.00My friend and I had a private tour with Chansay, our tour guide for the day. It was one of the best tours we have been on. Chansay was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was very informative, explaining the history of every place we went to. And we covered a lot of places for a one day tour. We enjoyed it so much. It was very well worth it. Makes us want to come back to Laos and visit other places. Thank you Chansay for a wonderful day.

5.00Everything about this tour experience was RIGHT! We were picked up for our private tour (we were a little late, no problem from guide) in a spacious, air conditioned, and easy to board van. Our guide greeted us in the lobby of our hotel and escorted us to the awaiting van. He introduced the driver (Song) and we were on our way. Chansay was informative, funny, and overall a great guide! We visited all of the places listed on our tour booking and did it at our own pace. Song was a great driver, very safe, and gentle in his driving. Chansay took great photos of us with my phone and his own, which were later shared with me from the tour operator. I felt like we really connected with Chansay, which made the day so much better. All stops were good, interesting and not too crowded during our visits. Ladies: there was only 1 place (Budda Park) with squatting "toilets" and none had any tissue to use. Most spots had Western "sitting" toilets, all of which had bidet srayers and water on the floor and some on the seat. None had any toilet tissue. I was ready, but ProTip: grab the roll of toilet tissue from your hotel, if you're not already prepared. :) Highly recommend this tour and especially Chansay!!!!
